Oh Nier… yeah, I think that might be the other game I check out then… I’ve heard awesome things about it.
I bought Nier (and Folklore) solely based off the chatter in this thread. I’m really glad I did (both are about $15-20ea). Nier is one of those games that you’ll either love or hate. Admittedly, Nier has PS2-era graphics (think FF12) and the gameplay is primarily hack-n-slash repetition, but the story, the character designs, the atmosphere, and the MUSIC really make this game for me. I was pleasantly surprised with the game overall. The gameplay complaints I can sorta forgive as it’s obvious that they had a shoestring budget and needed to fill the game with something.

i havent played nier, but i can tell you guys that so3 and 4 are both terrible games. if you want your jrpg fix, get a ps2 with games you havent played yet. theres yetn to be a good jrpg released for the ps3 thats released in english.

It sucks they came out the same time, I don’t know what the company for RoF was thinking.
But to be fair, I bought me RoF over 13, and I have to say, I have no regrets on that choice what so ever. Eventually played 13, I couldn’t get into it. A friend told me it gets better at the end of the game. So if it takes like 15 hours for a good to get good, IT’S OBVIOUSLY NOT A GOOD GAME!!
I really can’t think of a JRPG on PS2 that I didn’t play/beat… or PSX for that matter…

SMT is a series. The series the Personas are a part of. Remember it’s real name is Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 1-4. There is Nocturne, Digital Devil Saga, and Devil Hunter? I think that’s the name.

Anyways, yall ziggans be careful if you plan on trading in any games you bought from TRU during that buy 2 for $50 sale. I just came from best buy and one of the games I got from TRU (F3AR) wouldnt ring up. They questioned me where I got it from (i lied and said them) then they were like “do we even sell this game?” I immediately pointed right in front of them where a case was holding copies -_- Eventually they just scanned one of their copies and gave me my credit.
