Just found out the new Vita “slims” have an LCD screen instead of OLED. Shitty. Vanilla Vitas are the way to go, imo.

Some of the new colors looked hype, too.

well, its probably not interesting to you because its not that interesting to most people.

but remote play for ps4 and possible streaming going forward are probably worth investing in, and the old version seems better in every way, unless you put a ton of value in that extra 1 gb of memory the built in.

i really only use my vita so i can watch tv and have something i can come back to during commercials or slow parts. now tie that to a ps4, and i’m just giddy.

I want to get a vanilla Vita over the slims because of this news. I’m thinking once slims hit, the originals will still be cheaper because your average person won’t know about the screen differences. There will probably be a lot of deals on the originals once the slims hit, and I guarantee snagging one 2nd hand right now or in the future will be pretty cheap.

I’ll get one eventually, for sure.

My Vita Library is composed of mostly imported titles so I know what people mean by the shit needs games…and needs them fast. Soul Sacrifice is fun but pointless to buy now…Delta is on it’s way…

I can count on one hand the games I want.

Killzone, Soul Sacrifice, Wipeout 2033 and the Resistance game even though it’s supposed to be shit(not even developed by Insomniac IIRC, same with the original PSP Resistance game.)

Anyhow here are the games I currently have on my Vita. I have like 20 or 30 more. It just needs a couple super games. It got a price drop, cheaper model, and memory got/is getting a price drop.

For the same reason people bought OOT for 3DS Jab, dat portability yo.

P4G is the definitive version (it looks really fucking good on the OLED but there’s some ghosting which is weird) but I wouldn’t put it at system seller status, def a must have though. Square should get off their lazy assess and dump the rest of their PS2 catalog on the Vita already instead of making these lame ass HD collections.

Nice to see the early adopters jumping in, but will it manage to stay afloat after it’s initial release? Will VitaTV increase the Vita’s userbase so companies can make/localize more games for it? Will Sony ever add a friggin’ HDMI-out slot?

Adam Boyes from Playstation blog said Yakuza 5 was one of the most requested titles during the past few weeks.

Yakuza Ishin will have 4 player multi online and they are aiming to make the game more of a JRPG. The funny thing is Yakuza is already a JRPG for the most part. 100+ Side quests,full cities,character stat progression,equipable weapons and relics not to mention they are all customizable. I think there were 200+ pieces of weapons and armor in Y4. The only thing that is missing…hmmmm Ishin confirmed for having spells,dual & team magic? O_O

Y5 is also winning the operation rain fall poll for translation. I’m not surprised since VC3 has a fan translation going and Y5 has nothing atm.

Sega just can’t take a hint or it was all part of their plan to get assistance. Either way I’m thirsty for some Y5 the last great game on PS3.

This is half the reason I got a Vita… Can’t wait for X/X-2. My only gripe is that, for the Vita, both games are going to be sold separately.

There is Cross save so you can buy 1 ps3 copy and the vita version of whatever game you prefer.

I think with cross save situations (like Dragons Crown) You should get a discount voucher for the other version.
