The Official PLAYSTATION® Thread: E3 - PS4 Pro November 10th $399

FUUUUUUUUUUUCK!

Isn’t Jade Cocoon the PS kinda pokemon game. That was good?

lol, yeah I’ve known that since I read about the game. If you’re wondering what the plot of the game is
It’s about a boy who goes on an adventure between 2 worlds, from the looks of the trailer, that’d be the real and fantasy world
Amen, Left 4 Dead series is tooooooooooooooooooooo good. Fuck a dead island

i just check my email and it was like, “free code nigga”.

be like that sometimes.

I picked up the pc version of left 4 dead 2 a couple days ago…I have to get used to playing with a mouse and keyboard again. I wish they had an option for “Romero Mode”: slow zombies and less ammo. And these zombies die too damn easy. You blow off an arm and they’re dead…maybe cuz they aren’t real zombies. I dunno. There’s no sense of dread and realizing that civilization as you knew it is done, and the best you can do is survive brief fights and hide because there will always be more zombies than you have bullets for, like you get in good zombie movies. It’s all “WHEEE let’s start shooting and take on the world!! Never tell me the odds!!” L4d is good for what it is, though. Mindless action, and of course Valve is on point with the graphics and textures. Love those guys…even when their leader had his head firmly inserted into his own ass about the ps3.

Sheeeeit, have you played Realism mode, or even just “Expert”? L4D2 on those settings is insanely difficult…it definitely goes well beyond any other shooter I’ve played, at least while still managing to be fun. I never beat that, and I have no hope of ever beating the game on that mode…not on co-op and especially not solo. In fact, I’d be inclined to think anyone that claims they beat it on those settings SOLO is flat out lying. Such a claim is like someone casually saying they beat Battletoads back in the day when that game was new. There’s so many factors working against you on Realism+Expert, it borders on being completely impossible.

Sidenote— I typically prefer to have a melee weapon on hand for any of the higher difficulties…it just seems much easier to cut or bash a zombie’s head off instead of always going for well-placed headshots…you can also cut/bash several at a time.

Yea try playing on realism/expert. I for one havent played on realism cause i dont want to lol >_>

I play on advance like its normal, but i have yet to beat expert, i do ok tho…also cant find good team mates most times.

I did, I finally beat FF13…Today I have become a man

why? because it is my very first FF game I have finished

I look foward to 13-2.

overall the game was not bad at all, sure the linear straight path thing was there but it was forgiveable; the ending was well done also…the final boss was a joke :frowning:

I do L4D2 expert runs with friends, and it still stays fun since you can get completely incapped with one or two mistakes.

Realism is just for hilarity. That’s the mode you pick when you want to shoot each other due to being so jumpy. Expert Realism would sorely tax my patience, especially since the game is dynamic in the sense of the AI director changing how the levels are each time. That may also mean that when you’re about a minute away from the safe room, you’re going to get endless hordes in your face (True Story TM).

PM me Jack if you want to play on expert, I’ll add your Steam name and hit you up if we’re going to play. Same goes for anyone else.

>Back to PS3 stuffs<

Edit - I prefer guns since certain specials can’t be safely melee’d and you can’t always get over to where you need to be. wall o zawmbies

I don’t understand why people don’t look at Star Ocean 2, and make the final boss the REAL final boss?
An option to make the final boss 10 times stronger and even tuffer than optional bosses? AWESOME IDEA RIGHT!??!

NEVER FUCKIN’ USED EVER AGAIN!!

You ever fought Saga Frontier 2’s boss without defeating the optional bosses that make him weaker. Dude was a beast. They should use that concept again too.

Never played the game, but can’t say I’ve ran into many games that used the same idea.
My only issue is that, it’s rare when a game does it, and it feels like it should be the case at least 90% of the time ;(

My favorite encounter in Final Fantasy XIII is against the Long Gui (the beefed-up version of the adamantoise that appears after completing a certain group of missions). It took me several tries before I could effectively kill those things without having to use a summon.

I couldn’t get past the first couple hours of XIII due to getting tired of just mashing auto battle.

So…stop mashing…auto battle. I stopped playing FFXIII a couple hours in for far more damning reasons.

You only think this because you haven’t finished any of the other FFs.

Mashing auto battle is no different that mashing ‘X’ or ‘A’ to have your characters attack enemies in previous FFs =V

The other option was mash attack 5 times. I didn’t have the patience to keep playing a game that wasn’t developing the battle system at all. After watching my friend play his save file, which was much further into the game, and I had no more incentive to continue as the entire battle system (or how he was using it at least) was completely repetitive and boring. He seemed to enjoy it though, so whatever.

Checking out more things on Dead Island, finding some odd things.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DldvjKHLp8A - This is the way the models look when playing in 3rd person (even on the PC version it looks like this)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vXxio6j8SIw - Some guy ran into a very strange glitch that allowed him to fly around and explore the entire map.
Map is fuckin’ huge, looks kind of cool too :o
