eh, i think being a contender maybe was on a laundry list of things he wanted to get done, but i think finding a star in the draft and then building around that star were items like 3 and 4 after tanking and amassing picks.
all i’m saying is hinkie’s legacy resulted in embiid. dudes a star. if he brings the team back to form, then maybe it was worth? not for me to decide, but phillys gotta be happy they have a star worth investing interest in.

I was always for the tanking, though there were plenty who weren’t for understandable reasons. I don’t live in Philly anymore so I wasn’t concerned about going to games, making sure my cable provider carried the games, etc. Folks didn’t want to spend money on a team that was intentionally setup for failure and I don’t blame them one bit. However they didn’t see the bigger picture. I for one was tired of just getting to the playoffs. Some teams are fine w/ it, but I’m glad that Hinkie wasn’t.
Tanking allowed us to fix our salary cap situation and really assess what it takes to become a contender. The biggest idea that Hinkie settled on was that title contenders all have a bonafide star player and he was out to get one. I’ve said it since it happened and even though it worked out, the Embiid draft is what did him in. Folks want to see results and when the guy you’re saying could be the future doesn’t play for 2 seasons and then you draft Okafor - it doesn’t look good. I think Hinkie still has his job if the Lakers didn’t leapfrog us in the draft lottery to take DeAngelo. It was no secret that Hinkie wanted him bad. We even talked about swapping, but the LA wanted their first-rounder back AND change.

My goodness, the Knicks look horrible. That 3rd quarter was hard to watch.

The NBA is doomed, part 2.
Warriors and Cavs better enjoy their runs while they can.
Holy shit the Knicks suck
So does Noah now have the worst contract in basketball.

Had a chance to watch hornets sixers replay and wow that embiid kid block and dunk made me stand up. Him and giannis are gonna be special in the near future.
Knicks are lost without kp. How ironic that the fans were booing and crying when he was drafted.

I was about to take a dump but that game made me hold on to my shit. Great game by jimmy.
Doug was on fire. Guess the impending benching woke him up. He still looked like beiber though.

Absolutely disgusted with the Lakers right now. Detroit lost 3 straight games before coming here, they not even playoff contenders in the weak east, and they just came into Staples and run us out of the building like it’s their home game smh. This was an absolute winnable game, and it has nothing to do with Luke, the players don’t mix, just a average bunch of teenagers with average talent playing hero ball, jacking up 3’s, FO needs to make a decision about trading a few young pieces for all star caliber talents, this franchise is in dire need of help.

Okay it was all fun and games before, but I’m gonna need for the Knicks to start winning games so that they don’t catch up in the draft standings.

Jimmer’s lighting it up in China by averaging 37.3 points a game at 49 percent shooting: http://nypost.com/2017/01/16/jimmer-fredette-is-a-dominant-god-in-china/
Then again it’s China. He’s a liability on defense if he were in the NBA and rarely plays team ball.
So I’ma need D. Rose to not sign with the Knicks next season. Already lost too many years due to injuries no need to waste anymore being in new york with them bums.
DRose wants a max contract, so probably China.
