The Official Offseason 2016-17 NBA Thread: Waiting for Preseason

The warriors got rape . The Knicks have no ball movement.

Also add me to Mavericks Fan on the opening page

Warriors ain’t winning shit with Mike Brown on the coaching staff.

Having no center also magnifies their problems

The way things are looking, I wouldn’t be surprised to see GSW fall back into old habits and live and die by the 3. You can’t beat everybody with small ball.

Lakers vs Rockets tonight.

I’m actually pretty hype to see Ingram play and see Russell possibly going off on a team with -50% defense.

It’s ok Warriors 81-1 is still a good record.

How do you guys do scoring in your fantasy leagues?

Rockets can’t defend without fouling, but D’lo might have his hands full tonight playing out of position Harden around those screens

I’m a bit disappointed with Wright and Sullinger out, but still feeling good about this season for the Raptors. I’m excited to see Norman Powell’s growth as a player.

keeping it fair…

so about that warriors superteam…

The Knicks didn’t look too bad that first half, the Cavs are much deeper and have been together longer. We won’t know where to assess anybody until maybe 20 games in.

Deng should mostly be guarding Harden tonight, he did that the majority of time the Heat played the Rockets. Luke should consider starting Swaggy D at sg until a viable option becomes available. I will continue to stand by the point that a Clarkson/Russell backcourt is a defensive catastrophe.

As for the Knicks the lack of a bench will kill them this season and the money spent on Noah should have been spent on Dwight, although it would have cost them Courtney Lee who got overpaid and sucked last night as well. I still see them making the playoffs though but that Noah contract is going to haunt them.

I just need Lou Williams to hit a bunch of 3s and Randle to do anything.

Well, with Kobe gone, the ball movement should be better because virtually everyone will get a chance to touch the ball.

Heat got to the Finals while being 30th in rebounding and at the bottom in blocks. Ya’ll really reaching with the importance of centers in today’s NBA. We had fucking Joel Anthony as our center before Bosh slid over. The same Joel Anthony who can’t even get on a team right now.

One thing I did noticed was that the Warriors played significantly slower with Durant on the floor.

I mean, the heat had lebron and the east sucks

And yet the Heat were down in series to both Indiana and Boston. Okay.

Btw, League Pass free preview is going on.

I still think people who keep comparing those Heat teams to this Warriors team aren’t seeing the bigger picture. This Warriors team has 4 potential superstars in their primes, I don’t think I’ve seen a team have the reigning MVP and go out and get another potential MVP candidate. Wade was a good player, but not exactly an MVP threat on those teams. He already had those times during his Shaq days, he knew it was Lebron’s time and took the back seat. This Warriors team is different. Klay already said he’s not taking no back seat to anybody, Draymond is still adjusting to on court/off court issues, and we can argue for days on who is better between Durant and Curry.

They’ve made Draymond work at the 5 before, and I think we will see much more of that this season. But, I still think that they will miss Bogut this season. He does more things that don’t show up on the stat sheet than Pachulia.

GSW is Team USA on paper. No one should give these fuck boys any sympathy. These KD shoops are pretty savage and we are just beginning this season, I can’t wait to see the vitriol as we get further along.

I’ve said it before, Randle is starting to look like the odd man out of this young core.

We had Zaza. He is alright but I just don’t feel he is a good fit for Golden State. He is a bit slow so the fit is not there. He be better arguable on the Spurs instead. Too bad they couldn’t get much of a better option giving that they payed for their super team.
