Marvin Lewis is like the Mike Brown of the NFL, the Bengals need that Franchise QB, Dalton isn’t a franchise QB.
On a side note, there’s stats that prove Andy Dalton is literally the most average QB ever.
It was a stat on efficiency with Rivers being #1 in efficiency while Dalton was literally on the average bar while everyone was either significantly above average or way below average, Dalton was the only QB on the average scale.
i’m not denying that dalton is average or anything, but they’ve had a lot of success with him (3 straight seasons in the playoffs) and this is the bungles, an average QB htat’s probably the 3rd best QB they’ve ever had
He’s not a franchise qb but better than whats out there if they didn’t extend him

It was a different one on r/nfl but you get the idea, Cincinnati chance is this year, with healthy squad now. I’m pretty sure Marvin Jones is going to have a great year, he was doing great until injury and Atkins got hurt early on in the season.
You might as well give Dalton the money. It’s not like you’re gonna convince Palmer to come back.

*We have a worse version of Mike Brown, Mike Brown the Bengals owner. Not only is he the owner, he’s the freaking GM and has been for the 20+ years he’s been the owner. During that span we haven’t won a single playoff series and have been to the playoffs only under Marvin Lewis. Think about that. He outright refuses to hire a GM that’s capable plus he hires members of his own family to fill out front office jobs.
Hell, I’m one of the few people who like the Red Riffle, but the money he got was absurd. He’s a serviceable QB who is prone to having too many turnovers one game and then turning around and lighting it up the next week. *

Some of them? I can believe. His entire GM duties? I highly doubt that, the dude is a cheap version of Jerry Jones in control of small market team.
