this is true. while a few teams do carry over their “status” from the year before, overall its a whole new year, every team will be different in some form.

Yeah if they were public then whoever had the lead near the end of the season could just make the same picks as whoever was closest to make sure he kept his lead. After all the games have been played each week you’ll be able to see everyone’s picks.
