For not being terrible, I guess. There’s a lot of teams right now with severe QB issues, and if they don’t feel like the draft holds an answer, then they gotta lock him up. The details of the contract could be more team friendly, as well. The reported number isn’t always the whole truth.

He’s better than Cutler, at least. So there’s that.

He’s above average with upside that’s for sure, one of the problems I see with Tannehill is that he’s a poor thrower deep, Mike Wallace was complaining about that all season. But at the same time, Mike Wallace is never happy.

And he’s playing behind a joke of an O-Line too with Pouncey and Albert (Who’s been injury prone) being the only good O-Line men.

Tannehill in this market is 100+M, you gotta pay your Franchise QBs.

It’s obviously better to have someone like Ryan Tannehill than have your team have a cork QB like McCown or Whitehurst.

Flacco sure isn’t 120M+ material but the Ravens still paid him because they’d do a lot worse without him.

Even though I disagree with Cincinatti, they still paid Dalton 100M+ because there’s just not a lot of good QBs on the market.
