I am hosting a full team league also $350 on the line.
You can setup the stats they acquire, in my league you get the regular stats of course:
Forced Fumbles
Interceptions
Tackles
Sacks
But this year I added the little stats to make defense worth acquiring
Pass Deflections
Tackles for loss
Half points for Assists (Tackles,Sacks)
Fumble Recoveries
Also in my league no more “Oh I have Hester but do not get credit for his special teams work”, In my league you get return yards on Int’s,Kick off & Punt Returns and I think yahoo automatically counts fumble recovery run back yardage as well.
Put it like this, on one of my teams I have J.J. Watt, in a single game he could get 2 points per pass deflection, 2 points per sack, 2 points per tackle, lately he has been projected to acquire 11 points for my defense by himself, (he has acquired 9.5 in game one and 11.0 in game two)
If you have a DB like say Pacman Jones who gets tackles & Special teams yardage, you might get 6,8, or greater out of him.
Like the young man stated up above, it’s a great way to get people to educate themselves more on football overall and not just draft the break out stars ala C.Johnson,A.Peterson,D.Bryant etc
In my league you get each position, DE,DT,DB,S LB you still keep the original bench limit though so no more than 4-6 bench slots
yea same thing in my league @Cool-Breeze , randal cobb was a fucking monster last year, return yards + receiving yards. its why i snatched up Tayvon austin and edlemen.
Sherm or McDonald. Mcdonald is a big guy would be hard to imagine. Sherman I know played WR but, he is probably the best DB in the league right now(holding op)
Game to me wasn’t as bad as the score showed. The 49ers defense did give up some key plays, but it only surrendered 290 yards last night, and only 4.1-yards per play… exactly the same yardage per play that Seattle’s D gave up to the 49ers.
Just untimely penalties. The 207 yards on Offense is what scares me. 4 turnovers. No running game,
Offensive play calling looked Tecmo Bowlish. When people were open Kap didn’t see them.
Time for Skins fans to get back to reality, because going 4-0 in preseason means nothing. If people think those first two games were nasty, they’re in for even more…because the schedule doesn’t get any easier. RG3 is clearly not what he was, but maybe he just needs more time to get acclimated. Frankly, they look like shit in every phase of the game.
Yeah. The play calling was uncharacteristically bad. Very vanilla. Even then, you have to give the Seattle D credit, they took it to the 49ers. My guess would be that the niners dumbed down the playbook to simply things in a hostile environment, but you would think that with a coaching staff like Haurbaugh’s that they wouldn’t have to dumb things down. I figured they would have been a little more prepared, but maybe they’re looking big picture? Figure that they would go in there with a minimal playbook and see what happens, maybe squeak out a win in what would be a tough game? Its hard to tell. I think they just got beat.
