hester is pretty bad outside of KRs which makes me think the bears ST coaching is just godlike and hester is getting a lot of the credit. someone like brad smith is more valuable to a team than hester because he can return kickoffs great and actually play on the offense. same with josh cribbs.
signing hester for all of that money was one of the more horrible signings in recent history.
I wouldn’t say so. For one, he is developing into a decent wideout which is nice. But, his best quality is that he helps CONTROL field position. Just being on the field for a Punt means they have to kick around him, which means punts don’t go as far, which means better field position, or hell, he just takes it back a good distance or into the endzone.
I wouldn’t complain if I signed devin hester for a nice wad of cash. Game changer at returns AND he’s actually turning into a decent receiver. I’m impressed with his play this year so far.
