Jees, Surprised my team even kept it close. San Fran we are now 0-2 looking @ KC we prolly gonna be 0-3. I still dont know why we didn’t make a move to get Vick or Mcnabb. Jees a 3rd pick 4 mcnabb we could have gave that up and got a QB. Alex Smith is a bum.
He did his best to show up late in the game but jees, i know Steve Young and Montana were like that guy is Trash. I saw my boy Jerry on the sideline like yea not even I can take him to the hall of fame.
I went to Frank&Sons last week and they got a big banner promote an autograph event on Nov 6th. Someone go and ask them in person see how bad they think Alex is lol.
You better believe that ownership/higher ups put mad pressure on Andy to name Vick as starter. Andy doesn’t seem like the type to say he’ll start Kolb, then name Vick as the starter just because…
Yeah, so Bradon Jacobs gets fined $10k for hurling his helmet into the stands and potentially seriously injuring somebody, yet John Harbaugh get fined $15k for touching a ref.
It had to be. Now, I think Vick probably SHOULD start, but from a business and future position, Kolb should be the starter. Now, not only have you basically just killed any support for Kolb in the locker (except for maybe Brent Celek), you basically just told everyone you fucked up for trading McNabb.
Position is this. Philly now HAS to at least win the Division and go a viable distance in the playoffs or all hell will break loose in that organization.
But I don’t think this was solely Reid’s decision. He had MORE pressure in years past to dump McNabb and he stayed home, and he only traded McNabb last year as a preemptive strike (the usual thing for the organization where they’d rather get rid of someone early than late and pay for it). He still had to be really confident in Kolb to do that. IMO, I don’t think a half (in which two of his best blockers got wrecked for the season) against one of the best freaking defenses in the league is warrant for losing your job especially if you were being formed for the future.
Man I want Vick to do well, but not in Philly. Philly has some of the worst fans, still cant believe how they treated Mcnabb. And its only the football fans. The philly basketball fans seem to have their head screwed on right.
Every other Philly sport fans are less rabid because every other sport HAD SUCCESS!!! The Phillies won a World Series a couple of years back. Sixers had greatness in the 70’s, had Iverson fun in the 90’s/early 00’s and they’re not expected to do anything, so I don’t think they care as much at the moment.
The Eagles haven’t won a single Super Bowl…they haven’t won a Championship in 50 Years…frustration is their drive.
You have to understand, there are very few Eagles fans that actually don’t like McNabb. The fact he lasted all those years in stride without losing his temper pretty much has stayed with Eagles fans. The reason he got crap was because he was the QB…that’s pretty much it. Week 4 when the Redskins show up, I’d expect a standing ovation.
Eagles’ fans aren’t saints (no pun intended) that’s for sure. But they’re frustrated for a reason, not fun having EVERY OTHER FOOTBALL FAN call you out for not winning a Super Bowl every two seconds, Eagles fans just have to sit there and bear it.
