Damn. Massive sheet of ice and snow sliding off the roof onto a crowd of people is not a good look. Jerry Jones PR department better scramble and make these injured people happy (cover all medical expenses, Super Bowl visit should be comped, etc).

lol you go to Texas for a Super Bowl and get bodied by falling ice, you KNOW you’ve got some bad luck. Unless it was just minor injuries and they wind up makin a profit, then it’s good luck? I just think it’s wild, I heard on a local radio show that has people there covering the event that mans were taking ROAD SIGNS to the streets to shovel snow, that’s how little preparation the entire state has for dealing with this kind of weather. You’d think they could double a bulldozer as a snow plow somehow at least.

hmmm I like that one as well

i can buy 7 points from pitt and still make out nice. 2400 to make about 2200…
Very tempting but do I want to risk my whole paycheck.

I mean… pitt wont loose by 10 points, I just don’t see it. I don’t even see them loosing though

Great article for those that like to debate about QB value combined with how they do in terms of team rushing, defense, and playing with a lead/playing from behind in the playoffs. This really catapults Dan Marino to arguably the greatest QB ever (if he wasn’t already, then at least top 3).

Quarterback post-season records and Simpson?s Paradox ? Pro-football-reference.com blog ? Blog Archive

Its sunday, OH FUCK! big day is here!!!

Yeah! PUPPY BOWL TIME!

People, read this. I’m tired of arguing with dumb people who want to classify quarterbacks by wins, especially playoff wins and ESPECIALLY Super Bowl wins, as though they are capable of doing anything on their own. Football is still a team game.

Marino’s Dolphins played 18 playoff games and won 8. In the 10 losses, they were outrushed by over 130 yards 8 times. They were 1-7 in those games. In the last 60 years, the rest of the NFL has gone 0-70 under those circumstances. That was nearly half his total playoff history. Who wins under those conditions? Historically, nobody but Marino. Not Elway, not Favre, not Manning, not Brees, not Brady, not Young, not Aikman, not Bradshaw, not Unitas, not Montana, not Roethlisberger, not Griese, not Namath, not Blanda, and sure as hell not Williams, Dilfer, Johnson, Hostettler, Rypien, or any of the other clearly inferior quarterbacks who were lucky enough to be on great teams at the time.

Marino’s biggest detriment was that he was so good, he kept carrying teams to the playoffs that had no business being there in the first place.

Does not compute.

I think he meant to say in “all 18 of Marino’s playoff games”, that would at least make more sense.

And I agree that W-L isn’t a good measurement for individual players, especially in baseball where guys that are great have a crappy team (Felix Hernandez), and there a guys with good records that are average pitchers. The same goes for basketball where you have someone like Jordan who was getting bounced out of the first round for years until he got lots of help.

Edit: And if I didn’t say before, I have the Green Bay Packers taking this.

even though i’m a lions fan i gotta root for the hometown team this game. lets go packers.

So 3 Hours of Commercials within a 2 Hour Game is here. Hoo…freaking…ray…

I want the steelers to loose
but i have a G on them to win… well at plus 10 anyway. So if they could loose and stay within those points I’ll be happy.

oh shit puppy bowl

GET 'EM!

Two down, less than ? to go. Yes they can!

I blame 6 AM.

That sucks. atdhe was the place. Anyway, Redskins let Santana Moss go. I know the guy is 31, but he’s the best receiving option you have. Wow.

ATDHE got a different name and is up last I heard.

Also, this is nice:

Super Bowl ticket holders may not have a seat at Cowboys Stadium - Shutdown Corner - NFL? - Yahoo! Sports

Basically the extra seating they installed for the game wasn’t approved by the fire marshall, so people who have a ticket in that area may not get in.

And they’re only offering refunds at face-value, which is complete bullshit. Dallas isn’t getting another Super Bowl anytime soon (Jerry was lobbying for 2015, good luck).

Beer + Duck + SUPERBOWL!
