I’m not sure which NFL you were watching last year but Favre was playing very well for the first half of the season and then sometime in the 2nd his shoulder injury took full effect and he threw the Jets out of the playoff situation. I am in no ways a Favre apologist because in all honesty, fuck Favre and fuck the ESPN hype machine, but the truth remains when healthy he still has a cannon for an arm and can make all the throws he needs to in the NFL. He still makes tons of questionable if not terrible decisions a game but with receivers like Berrian and Harvin who are speedy as fuck, it should work out okay assuming he stays healthy.

imo.

BLAH BLAH BLAH

People like you are the reason Farve is back.

10 - 12 million is a nice consulting charge, that is if he actually trains the other QBs, which 100% sure will not happen. Have fun sucking Vickings

Because Vikings were going all the way with the elite QB combo of SAGE + TAVARIS JACKSON, amirite? If you cannot come to terms with Favre being better than 2x those two players combined, you are an idiot especially when all he really needs to do is hand-off to AP 40 times a game and occasionally throw do a play-action to 80 yard TD pass to Berrian/Harvin.

imo.

I said it too hehe. We’re NEVER going to hear the last of Favruh.

I can’t wait till the Vikings play the Packers in Green Bay!..

Next year Favre will join the Bills to get back at the Jets.

dust settles

…Favre can’t win in the Metrodome.

DA BEARS

Then he look up at the scoreboard and it 15-14 in favor of the Jets with 10 seconds to go. Bills with the ball at the 10 yard line, well in FG range. Favre drop backs and BOOOM throw it into the hand’s of Lito’s and he goes all the way for the TD and the win. :lovin::lovin:

P.S totally forgot about that draft pick with Denver. 0-16 they GO!

I hope I’m not the only one who thinks signing Favre was a smart decision by the Vikings.

l2read.

imo.

Co-Sign here, and to all the fucking scumbag’s who cry he didn’t do anything to help out the Jets are seriously shitting themselves up the ass. Firstly, the Jet’s wouldn’t of even been in contention for a play off run without #4 at the helm. Also, as stated above, when Favre did not receive his shoulder injury, he was ass raping most of the teams that confronted the Jets, and with him as their QB, Thomas Jones had the numbers that he had, because other teams had to respect Favre, and couldn’t always stack with 8.

Seriously, this stupid shit with the finger pointing about Favre needs to stop. ESPN just simply loves #4’s cum, plain and simple, and to be real, some of you failed to mention that it was the Vikings who were sucking Favre’s cock, more so then his own wife to try and get him to come to Minnesota, by allowing him to dictate what he wanted to do this entire charade.

Old #4 would have stayed retired if not for all of the Childress “We need you badly, please, please, I beg of you to come.” So the way I see it, if Brett wants to play, let him fucking play.

As a Packers fan, who has grown up watching Favre throughout his entire career from 1992 onward, I’m just simply glad he has truly made a decision once again, and although I’ve moved on, and am rooting for #12 to take us to win. I’m hoping that Favre has another miracle 07’ run again with 28+ Td’s and very few Int’s, just so it can shut up all the retards who say he can’t get it done.

Being a person who lives in Green Bay and lives and breathes the Packers, it pains me to say that the Viking’s are a serious contender now, absolutely no joke. Again, if Favre’s arm is healthy, and he can take it to the house, along with AP, who is 10x better then Jones + that Vikes def which was better then the Jets…they will be serious now. Put 8 men in the box, Favre will rape you with the single coverages, you go less, AP will run over your ass all day, hell even with 8 men, AP would still run your asses anyhow.

#4 just put them over the top, however regardless, here’s to them losing to the Packers on both games, and with the Green and Gold taking the NFC North. I have tickets to the Packers/Viking’s first game, and I’ll be wearing a #12 on front, but #4 on back for my T-Shirt to give nod to our current manly QB, and to the OG who back in his prime made us Super Bowl Contenders and a SB Champion.

Thumbs down to all you haters, the NFC North is finally on the rise again, will be looking forward to this years NFL season.

Osi has been in the league over 3 years. I thought it was obvious last year didn’t count? That’s like saying Kerry Collins is better than Tom Brady because Brady didn’t play last year. Tuck/Osi are EASILY, by far, the best DE pass rush tandem. And yes, I have to agree w/rooster, Demarcus Ware by himself is better than most tandems in the league. He got 20 by himself last year and look at the years before that. Colts were never EVER known for getting to the QB. I’m not saying they aren’t talented, but you’re REALLY stretching out on a limb calling them the best pass rush tandem

Wait until Favre gets the Vikings to a 11-5 record and throws INTS in the playoffs. I like how everybody forgets he holds the all time INT record. Fascinating actually haha

@ Lothar: Oh good.

@ Osi/Tuck: How do you think they will fare without Steve Spagnuolo running the defense this year?

fuck favre and fuck the person tht drafted him just before i could!

i wonder what the vikings are gonna do next season when favre wants to retire again

:rofl::rofl:

I am starting to think Berrian forcing his way on to my team truly was destiny.

I don’t care if Favre throws 40 ints, as long as he gets Berrian like 10 TDs and over a Thousand yards.

Supposedly, we are running the exact same defense. The new DC was our d-line coach last year, and he was directly under Spags. Obviously, it won’t be the EXACT same, but Tuck and Osi have both publicly said it’s nearly the same and are very happy w/it so far. Too much talent on that team to not be at least a top 5 defense again.

Holy shit I just looked over your post and I have Carson Palmer, Pierre Thomas and Berrian too.

What? You act like Osi Umenyiora took the season off. No. He suffered a major knee injury which caused him to miss the entire 2008 season. Now I’m supposed to act like it never happened? That there couldn’t possibly be any negative effects. That would be incredibly naive. I’m actually giving him the benefit of the doubt and saying that he could come back to be as good as new. If that happens the Giants tandem of Osi/Tuck might be slightly better than Freeney/Mathis.

You say that I’m REALLY stretching it by calling them the best. Fine. Tell me which teams have better ends. Give me 5 of them. The Giants are 1. Give me 4 then. Keep in mind that Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis have averaged over 18 sacks between them the past 6 seasons. That includes 2007 when Freeney missed 7 games and Robert Mathis missed 3 games. If you want to play the injured years don’t count card they’ve averaged 20 sacks in 5 of the past 6 seasons. Find me a team with pass-rushers this good for this long. It should be easy since I’m over-exaggerating right?

Well he also threw more passes than most of the other top QBs. He’s at a 1 int per 30 pass ratio, which is right up there with Troy Aikman, Dan Marino, and John Elway.
