Parcells admitted to doing the same thing and Madden got repeatedly fined for doing the above as well. Mike Shanahan had a laundry list of things he got in trouble for, from Cap violations to video taping practices to hiring lip readers with binoculars to sit on their bench. The reason it’s swept under the rug is because it’s no big deal, and everyone, outside of people trying to rationalize why their team lost, knows it.

Personally I don’t think the Dolphins are all that great. There’s talent on the team but the best players are a quarterback who tends to have up and down seasons and a rush linebacker on the wrong side of 30. Last year they benefitted from the Brady injury and a very easy schedule.
I think they’re 8th or 9th best team in the AFC.
We are already back to the Dolphins lol. To say they are going to be the champs over the patriots is a stretch. The Dolphins are going from the easiest schedule to the hardest and i say they will be lucky to make it out 8-8. Your schedule has a lot to do with your record. I just fail to see how the dolphins will be able to hang with the patriots with brady and all his new toys.
On that subject how do they patriots always do this. They always cut really good players and just in time pick up a bunch of older vets that have 1-2 more good years in them. Examples this year are getting rid of Mike V. and Cassel and picking up Fred Taylor Galloway and Springs. That is good managing and the true key why the Patriots have been so dominate over the years.

Eagles Middle Linebacker Stewart Bradley tore his ACL last night during a scrimmage/practice, out for the season. Fuck. See, this is why I wait till as late as possible to buy a jersey…You never know what can happen.
This is a huge blow. Bradley has become a beloved player on the defense, and could have possibly been in line for a Pro Bowl year. Some guys just don’t know. He’s good, people. He helped some of the deficiencies the Eagles had against the run during the Reid/JJ era. Hopefully Omar Gaither or Joe Mays can step up and the defense won’t lose as much.

Still waiting to see how the Dolphins do this year. It’s been rough the past few seasons before the last one. Hearing the announcers ramble on and on about being the only team to be undefeated and lose every game was heart breaking a couple seasons ago.
But my patience and dedication is paying off…
Hopefully my Raiders can win 4 or 5. On the othe rhand, Niners will go to the playoffs. Mark my words.

Have you seen the price for their seats? Holy shit I am not even surprise by the $90 pizza that entire stadium is like Disney Land on crack.
Regarding the Dolphins, it’s easy to understand why there would be skeptics. The Dolphins got pretty lucky last season. However, I feel like they’ve made very significant improvements across the board except at wide receiver. I feel like the defense, which was below average to average last year, has a chance to be very good this year–better pass rushers, better depth, more experience (the D-line is young), and a great deal more talent in the secondary. The offense…everything hinges on the offensive line. If the line is mediocre like last year, they can’t hide behind the Wildcat anymore. That was starting to get deciphered by midseason. they need to be able to open holes for their backs and protect the quarterback on a consistent basis without having to resort to the Wildcat. Having a better run blocking center should help. Having the guards healthy should also help. Having another year of experience bethind Jake Long should help. All those things should help, but how much?

I can’t find the league message board so I’ll just gripe here. Why in the heck do the playoffs start week 13. That means they end week 15. Come on. Everyone knows that the fantasy championship is at least week 16. First-round byes for deserving teams would be good too. The divisions are a mess. 1 division has 1 team another has 10. I mean come on.
The divisions are a mess because only three of the managers actually posted there legit locations.
The Playoff’s start so early BECAUSE that was the only option left to allow 8 teams into the playoff’s instead of 4-6, remember the leagues are supposed to be geared towards KEEPING people interested the entire season.
2 weeks can only get us 4 teams
3 Weeks in the playoffs can get us 8 teams.
4 weeks can get us 16 teams inside the playoffs
Playoffs begin week 14 no later.
1st. Round Bye’s are given.
The Draft Date needs to be chosen on one of these dates and ONLY one of these dates because I am the commish and I’ll be damned if I start yet another league that I will not be able to draft in because I was trying to satisfy everyone else
August 8th or 9th 9pm or later (Eastern time)
August 15th or 16th 10pm or later (Eastern Time)
August 22nd or 23rd 10pm or later (Eastern Time)
ESPN always does their finals in weeks 14-15. It’s better, honestly, especially since you don’t end up having a bunch of players rested for the playoffs.
That’s not true. And even if it was it’d still be a terrible way to end the season. Week 17 is when teams usually rest players and even then it’s not as bad as people make it out to be.
As somebody who actually HAS played it.
