Bullshit. Only 6 teams had more than 2 WR get over 500 yards last season and only 3 of those #3 wr had more than 565 receiving yards. Breaston had over a thousand but smith and harrison were sitting at 574 and 636 respectively. I think the WR points should stay at 1 per 10 yards as well, but don’t make shit up to support it.
R.I.P. Jim Johnson…Thanks for the great memories the past 10 years. I’ll always remember how concerned he was about just NOT giving up points. At all. When the opposing teams got in the red zone, that was it. You were not getting points. And it’s been a hallmark of the Eagles defense all decade. I’ll always remember those havoc-wrecking gameplans he would design, see the 2nd Dallas game last year, the 04/05 NFC Championship VS the Falcons, or even the Pittsburgh game last year in which the defense record 9 sacks.

Uh ya i would rather have traditional rules with the exception being one point per reception. Not sure i like the bonus for 300/400 yard passing games or the 40/50 yard td pass bonus has that always been there?

I see people quit year after year after year because they do NOT have one of the Top #5 RB’s and because of the STANDARD point system the WR position along with the QB position often never really compete.
For example, brett Farve I think last season against the Rams had a MONSTER game where the team scored close to 50 Pts, he threw for 4 or more TD’s in that game, yet an RB with 2 TD’s and like 50 yards receiving scored higher than he did, and I haven’t even mentioned his rushing yard totals.
I didn’t make the pts farfetched by a long shot, they are fair.
I want to make almost every position matter so EVERYONE stands a chance at winning, not a team filled with L.Tomlinson, Turner, & Willies Mcghee, Byron Leftwhich as the QB, Steve Smith from the Giants at WR, Jeremy Shockey from the saints and this team win the league off of the RB position alone.
Lets come together and find a solution, not just post “Hey lets change this to the normal standard” then a shit ton of you quit week 5 cause you have no trade bait or one team is locked chock full of the positions you need.
I posted Position restrictions this year as well, you are allowed a set amount per position so people will have to draft accordingly.
Special Teams will count, including punt & kick off returns, the head coach position is still an option.
Defensive pts have been modified to better suit ALL DEFENSES not just the Steelers,Ravens,Eagles,Patriots,Giants & Cowboys.
The Home Field Advantage Pts are still an option and much much more

After reading the article on cnn.com from Don Banks re: the Brett Favre saga, this sentence made me laugh:
He probably didn’t coin that phrase, but I’m going to try to work that into my vocab.
I don’t want 6 points for every touchdown by qbs. It needs to be (and is fine as) 4. Way more often a qb will throw 2/3 tds along with 250/300 yards than a rb or wr getting that and a 100. If you’re gonna give a qb 6 for a pass then pump up the ints to -4.
I want lost fumbles to be -2 for everybody (not sure if this is standard or not)
I want guys who take back punts/kr for tds to get those points and not just the defense/ST (ie Reggie Bush, DJack, Steve Smith, Roscoe Parrish)
I want defenses to get points for turnover on downs. Make it the same as a fumble/int. It’s only fair.
If ST recovers an onside kick, they should get points for that.

Points for receptions for TE and WR is what I have in my commissioner league. It’s bad ass. People like Housh and Witten get added points for being work horses.
QB TD = 6 points seems fair. How often does a running back get like 40 yards rushing on 15 attempts and a 1 yard TD tacked on to give him 10 points for the day? Hah
Agreed. Giving the QB 6 points per touchdown makes his output equal to his entire team of wide receivers, which makes the QB the strongest player on the team easily.
Yes A QB like Brady could have a near 300 yard passing game and 2 TD’s but with the standard system if Westbrook got 2 TD’s and almost 60 receiving yards plus rushing yards he would out score the QB all day everyday, which is why I beefed up there area, the league is filled with, 2 RB systems and alot of teams trying to utilize the sweeps, screens etc with there RB’s.
The Points per TD have gone up YES but not passing attempts or completions or anything like that, I could take negative pts for TIMES SACKED if need be but 4 pts for a TD and a 300 yard passing game still couldn’t compete with 100 yards rushing 50 yards receiving 2 or more TD’s from the RB position.

Every 25 yards kickoff return yds 1 point etc BUT if I stick it with players at this position ONLY, I will NOT also have it for defense & special teams because it will cause pts too double, people will need to DRAFT those special team individuals in order to gain the full effects from this decision.

IN REGARDS TO MICHEAL CON-VICK:
The fact that Monbaby hast to bring up Micheal vicks one and only meaningful win in his career, which took place way back in 2000 something shows how this man has done nothing at his position or with his career.
Vick was NOT learning the game or his position by a long shot.
The man averaged like 155 yards passing per game, the man completed less then 54% of his passes.You say he was “Winning” games yet the TEAM especially on offense made no significant progress, he didn’t HELP the WR’s better there careers, the fact that sooner or later teams were going to stack 8 in the box against this guy and his teams offensive scheme, force him to defeat you with his arm, which he’s shown time and time again he couldn’t should say alot about him and his so called abilities.
Micheal Con-Vick was no where near on the rise in thee NFL, everyone is looking at the so called hype of being the NEXT Steve Young or what have you, even Steve Young could freakin’ pass with a rocket arm, Vick Cannot.
If you are looking for your next so called Scrambling/Mobile QB… You’ve had it in Mc-5 for years… DEAL WITH IT!!!
