It was a fine idea until Dwight forgot how to pick and roll, Howard’s screens are super good but he refuses to do pick and rolls like he used to in Orlando like dafuq?

Howard needs to stop being a wimp and actually set screens consistently and not just demand the ball to post up.

[details=Spoiler]Howard’s overall points per possession is 0.98, or #104 overall. Not bad.

53.1% of his possessions are post-ups where he ranks #128 and scores 0.77 PPP. Not great. 20% of those possessions end up with turnovers.

Only 7.1% of his possessions are as the roll man. I realize that does not account for all of his PnRs as this doesn’t include PnRs that result in a PG shot or pass to a spot up shooter. But 7.1% seems insanely low, especially considering that he ranks #3 in the leauge with 1.31 PPP!

Given that Morey is so into analytics, and because it is obvious that Dwight is a great roll man, and that pick and rolls are pretty good, how do he and McHale allow this? Superstar treatment?

Even Lamarcus “Midrange” Aldridge ends 18.6% of his possessions as the roll man, even though he is only #93 at those. Aldridge only posts up 38.8% of the time even though he is much more efficient than dwight at 0.86 PPP.

Even Big Al Jefferson rolls 13.9% of the time, again at a much lower efficiency at 0.93%. Even AL JEFFERSON posts up a little less than Dwight (51.2%) at a much higher efficiency (0.97 PPP).

Is there any other player who is in complete denial about his strengths and weaknesses than D12?[/details]

The Philadelphia 76ers will be included in the final version of the Kevin Love trade, acquiring Anthony Bennett from the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Minnesota Timberwolves will acquire Thaddeus Young instead of Bennett, along with Andrew Wiggins and a first round pick.

The 76ers will now have Bennett, Nerlens Noel and Michael Carter-Williams as lottery picks from the 2013 NBA Draft.

They probably aren’t making the playoffs but they will be fun to watch for 2 -1/2 to 3 quarters :lol:

Happy Flashback Friday, y’all.

If Bennett couldn’t stay in shape before, he definitely won’t with all those cheesesteaks in Philly.

Artest is actually friends with the guy that threw that bottle at him

and then this is pretty funny

By Artest, you mean the Panda Friend, now?
Yeah, he changed his name again. Maybe he and Chad Johnson have some record going on the number of name changes…

For THE China?

Things I’ll be watching for next season:

East - Bulls => Cavs => Wiz => Raps => Heat => Nets => Hornets => Knicks

West - Spurs => Clips => Rockets => Thunder => Suns => Dubs => Griz => Mavs/Blazers/Nuggets/Kings/Lakers

I won’t even lie I’m still pissed about that shit because it was ridiculous and petty, the whole situation is hypocrisy especially when everyone forgets Cuban and Jordan’s part in the shit as well.

Now no one sees a problem that Gilbert after all his whining and blatant incompetence has created a super team, while preventing another team from creating the same thing he moaned about. Fuck the Cavs, Lebron, Stern, Cuban, Jordan and Dan Gilbert.

…in FOUR

Put me down for the Zombie Sonics. If anyone is near OKC, I’ll pay them cash to shit on Clay Bennett’s lawn.

I don’t like this Love trade, at least not for Cleveland. If they sit tight instead of trading, they have four (!) first overall picks on their roster – LeBron, Irving, Bennett and Wiggins. You wait out 2014-15, Love opts out at the end of the year, joins the nucleus with a 4-year max deal for 2015-16, and Cleveland gets to have their cake and eat it too. Sure they’d have to carve out an extension for Irving, but they’d have the other two under rookie deals for at least a couple more years.

Instead, they’re trading their talented slave labor plus a protected 1st for what’s basically a 1-year rental of Kevin Love. And if he spends this season deciding he doesn’t like it there, he can still opt-out and bolt for somewhere else. A verbal “firm commitment to re-sign” more than a year in advance is no commitment at all. Dan Gilbert is getting hustled because of pressure to win right away. And the funniest part is, that still doesn’t make them good enough to compete with the west.

.

I’m offended that you’d put the fucking Knicks over the Hawks. Seriously?

Not surprised, though.

Oh put me in as Bulls fan here. As a thankfully displaced Chicagoan no matter how atrocious the NBA can get with the puppeteer refs, bitch ass millionaire floppers and denying current legend JaVale McGee his own commercial, it’s impossible for me to adopt other teams, especially the ones here in Cali

$15M worth of Linsanity

People are really trying to paint this off season as a meltdown. I think we might be the most hated on team now that Miami’s done.

Fuck it, I’ll take it.

LOL at Cavs/Akron having a “welcome home” party for LeBron right now.

This shit is legit deja vu.

Put down for the Nets, BTW.

How? He wanted Kobe to be traded and wouldn’t run PnR with the BEST PnR PG ever.
