They’d get into a fistfight, Mark Jackson would get knocked out. Lebron wouldn’t be disciplined by the league cause he is their cash cow, Gilbert would ask meekly why he did it. Lebron would say “Shut up fool”. Gilbert would say “Yes sir, just please don’t leave Cleveland ever again”.

One thing I find interesting about the LeBron/Spo relationship is that people don’t really give Spo the credit for improving LeBron’s game

tbh, i think mark jackson is a perfect coach for lebron.
lebrons offense: high pnr, iso heavy, floppy motion off of flat formations, high horns… pretty much in line with what mark jackson runs.
mark jackson is a players coach. he wants players to take ownership of what goes on on the court.
defensive minded and would allow lebron to have the reigns of the offense.
more preachy and motivational rather than system and process orientated. lebron can complain about plays being drawn up, but mark jackson didn’t draw up plays… hard to shake your finger at motivational speeches.
keep locker room stuff private.
i think david griffin would probably be most opposed, but imo, if your goal is to appease lebron, mark jackson makes a lot of sense.
then when blatt goes to GS and the mark jackson cavs meet the blatt offense in the finals, then the ultimate drama will be fulfilled.

Do people actually have sources to what Lebron’s doing behind the curtains?
Same sources Chris Broussard uses.

the truth has been slowly leaking for some time… stein was one of the first to fully condemn it though.
probably easier when the season is done with… same deal as when the ezeli crying confrontation finally game out.
I don’t think he is that different than most top athletes in that aspect. He wants to do what he thinks will get him wins. Obviously I don’t know more than anyone else here, but these articles are not that convincing.
The dude seems like a pretty good guy and his team mates seem to love the guy. I am more going off a Bill Simmons comment saying players are starting to like him as much as they liked Magic.
That is just how I see it from the outside. As a Mavericks fan I don’t care that much just didn’t see it as a fair take.
Seems more like a Blatt problem.

Green has to stop man. I liked him in the first and 2nd season and always knew he’d play better D than DLee. All he needed to do was land his outside shot. He’s finally done well this season but now that he’s in the spotlight, he has to realize, like other players do, you’ll be scrutinized for everything that you say or do.

i think its a bad look, but entertaining stuff comes at a premium and will have diverging opinions no matter what.
i’m luke warm on what he said, but for appeal and drama and storylines, i think i’d rather him say something like this than something meh.
everyone secretly loves having villians.

Definitely a bad look. Nobody likes a bad winner. As much as I dislike MJ and Kobe, they always did a good job of being as humble as their egos would allow them to be in victory.
It makes him look dumb to keep it 100. Klay’s face changed in the background lol.

I laughed so hard when Kobe said something along the lines of “one more than Shaq” and how he never forgot what shaq said.

Kobe, a humble winner? Wtf?
NBA needs more guys like Draymond. Only guy close is Whiteside. Guys that were slept on, told they weren’t good enough, now they’re wrecking people. Good look or not, that shit is hilarious.
I just got back from the parade. It was crazy and hype.
Funniest comments I heard:
“Don’t you niggas got work!”
“This nigga in a Porsche? He must be a somebody.”

draymond is going to catch shit, but lets not pretend that kobe and michael were “humble”.
yeah, it takes some character to not dive into the deep end, but it takes a ton of character to make an impression. draymond green will be controversial, but at least you’ll be talking about him. at least he’ll be standing out when people are in the market to pay him a shit load of money.
most of the best players were the best shit talkers. those people choose how they want to surface it to the public… if they want to be a brand, then some media guy will tell you to shut the fuck up and remember to push your new sock brand or whatever. if you are looking to be as visible and get your name out there, then you do what draymond does.
i don’t agree with how that went down, but you can argue he earned his right to say it. people will hold it against him, but in the end, it makes the nba a little more interesting.
