overall an entertaining night, i enjoyed both games. always love watching the other nba players watching the bbva game. Props to both Plumlee’s for showing off their verticals - i had no idea.
Just watched Durant’s highlights from their game against what’s left of the Lakers and noticed something. In past years it felt like he could explode for 35-40 points on any given night. He scored mostly in quiet ways. A three ball here, a fastbreak dunk or layup there. This season though it looks and feels a lot like LeBron’s last two seasons with the Cavs. He’s a legitimate threat any time he’s on the court and the only way to stop him is to foul him.
He still looks like he’s barely trying out there, but the aggressiveness is finally starting to show on the floor and he’s got a confidence about him that makes me excited to see him in the post season now. I’m still hoping my team makes it out of the West, but I really think this is OKC’s year. If Indy beats Miami they’re going to have a real tough time trying to stop OKC if they meet in the Finals.
Tell that to the poster on Lakersground that started the thread: Wesley Johnson and the lakers played very good defense vs durant & OKC
He’s of the opinion that we " actually gave other teams a blue print on how to beat them assuming no Westbrook".
Yeah we played well but not once did I even assume we had that game won or that the defense on Durant was stopping him, he was just off at the beginning of the game.
Yeah, but we all know Lakers fans aren’t the smartest bunch. These are the same people who celebrated and talked championships when Dwight got signed and then got all butthurt and said he was never any good when he left. If you follow Dwight on Twitter or Instagram you can see Lakers fans hating on him to this very day. You have guys telling him to kill himself and that they hope he gets injured.
Fans that like are the reason it’s hard to take that fanbase serious. So any opinions that they have nobody outside of LA really takes serious. It’s like whenever Geo says something about anyone not named LeBron and we all roll our eyes and nod our heads. It’s fun talk, but no one takes it serious.
