The one consistent thing about the Rockets is they’re inconsistent. Played the second half like the last 10 games. This is a loss we deserve. I hope they continue losing until they can figure out how to play with energy and consistency.

And Dwight’s just going to shrug, laugh it off, and go about his business…without taking what those three say - to heart, you got Shaq with what 3-4 rings, Kenny got 2, and while Barkley never got one, his career as an undersized 4 speaks for itself. And it was REAL talk too. Shaq DIDN’T have Dream feet, people moaned and groaned that all he did was dunk (early on), but so what, he still put up monster numbers and pretty much did until the twlight of his career. Barkley played against most of the greats from the 80s and 90s. They know what they are talking about.
I got Dwight on my Fantasy squad and I was expectin a MONSTER year from him. I felt like I STOLE him in the second round, but he aint puttin up franchise numbers. I mean honestly, I’d put him and Melo in the exact same company…they are Pippen. Quality QUALITY players, but not THE guy. If they could have formed their group with CP3 - it would have been great for them because CP3 is exactly what both Melo and Dwight need, I can’t help but feel like Blake Griffin gettin all boss like this season isn’t just from Doc Rivers but also some CP3 rubbin off on him.

the problem with dwight still trying to “get it” is that hes been in the league for YEARS now you explain it to him shaq has done this time and time again so when he ends his sentiments with “not good enough” and “gotta to do better” it hits hardest especially since both have been to the finals.
and you dont compare melo and dwight to pippen that was a different era and pippen was more competent on both ends of the floor then ether of these guys and he led his team deep in the playoffs till he pretty much got jobbed by the knicks.
blake is becoming better because hes not being babysat by cp3 (injury) i have said it before.
when blake griffin was by himself on the clippers in his first year. he was really interesting to watch he was forced to be THE GUY
chris paul came in and began to baby him (and everyone else) too much and brought in flopping.
I like cp3 but he overhelps blake griffin too much sometimes.
Blake is starting to become really good. Watch him play. That Griffin for Melo trade is LOL worthy

Best improvement from Blake is his free throws. Nobody is talking about how he’s been shooting over 75% for the past two months. He already started improving on his midrange last season.
I’m not comparing Pippen to those guys from a ‘I’d trade them’, perspective, but from a what their value is. Without Jordan, Pippen actually did pretty well, but he was best playing off Jordan - his time in Portland and Houston proved that. Melo would be best served playing off another talent around his level or better. Dwight is the same way - and he DOES have the talent around him to succeed, but shit, he’s just being the same player with no real growth. You’d think with the slashers and shooters Houston has, he’d be putting up K-Love numbers. You’d think that defensively, he’d be striking the fear of God into men since he doens’t HAVE to put out so much energy on both sides of the court.
And no about CP3 babying Blake. This whole season Blake has stepped up - even with CP3 in the line-up. He was putting up numbers on a bad team his first and second years…it wasn’t that he was a monster. But every facet of his game improved over the summer, he’s finally even hittin free throws at a respectable clip…but the most important aspect, he’s being more physical with guys…not in an ‘inadvertent elbow to the temple’ kind of way, but in a PF with some meat & potatoes kind of way. You won’t mistake him for PJ Brown or Charles Oakley, but you won’t get him confused with the Michelin Man either. Like now? I’d actually want Blake on my roster…he’s not just fantasy numbers, but a legit PF in the West.

I wouldn’t put Melo in the category of needing another star. I would say he needs a certain fit with playstyle and personality, but maybe I’m wrong about his old hangups and he could- scratch that I don’t see him playing second fiddle to anyone.

carmele anthony is at a cross roads he can ether be that guy which is really a

and blake was flat out whooped on by the grizzlies last year. that why i didnt put too much stock into what he did last year or when they got swept by the spurs.
i see improvement now and if he can get even better when cp3 comes back then i wouldn’t be surprised.
i need to see this in the post season though
