Luffy, in order to help everyone out and get some discussion going, I broke down your matches vs marn, I think since Rufus is gonna be a problem for everyone and i hate rufus its best to break it down lol

0:00-0:28 - At this point, its pretty much Marn applying safedivekick pressure. Luffy does a good job of blocking but then tries to ex sprial out and gets punished for it (though understandable, you want rufus to just get the fuck off you, but the risk reward in that situation was bad). Gets out of the pressure with a ultra 2 through Marn’s stand short stand fierce string, which I like.
0:30 = oh no luffy dropped the bnb after the ultra =/ maybe in that situation it would have been better to go for 1 c.jab instead of 2, and that way you can save ex meter?
0:59 = Nice use of stand strong to counter the divekick after rufus df+fwd pressure
1:09-1:12 = the 2 unsafe spirals over here ended up changing the match for luffy completely, after this he got rushed down 
1:42 = god damn it luffy stop doing unsafe drills. a preemtive antiair normal might have worked here, like stand fierce (extremely good against whiffed divekicks, stand rh or maybe soul throw (of course more of a guess, and risky). the wrong guess not only gets him punished with ex galactic tornado for his trouble, but then he gets caught in the os backdash setup
1:55 = wow, rose’s sweep completely went under messiah kick?! haha. why did u do that in this situation? did u know that was going to happen? i wouldnt have expected you to use that cause its slow lol. if you didnt drop your combo afterwards marn woulda been mindfucked lol
1:58 = marn makes luffys antiair whiff with smart use of delayed divekick vs rose crouch fierce…obv in hindsight dp would have worked, but its hard to tell in the heat of the match. maybe in situations like this, ultra 1 would be better…? but if you pick ultra 1 he might not high divekick like that…hmm

2:31 = I definitely like stand fierce over crouch fierce in this situation, hsi antiaair whiffed again.
2:40 = Loving the corner presssure up to this point. Wha’ts funny is that it all started off a backdash then backthrow in the corner :lol:
2:47 = Did you try to throw him? I found that at max short distance range, you can safely block messiah even if you press short, so you might wanna try that next time!
2:58 = may have been worth it to gamble for the soul throw here? i dunno. anyway you still hit him with the whole thing. haha
3:37 = Nice preemptive soul throw vs rufus. Has to be done. RISKY THOUGH! haha
3:52 = Maybe rose f. rh would have worked to punish rufus backdash…not sure?
4:00 = Why the sweep here as oki on his wakeup? This is the second time I saw you do this now in the match, does it really bait messiah or something? if so, pretty dope
4:15 = nice max range drill vs rufus, i like these kind of things. safe drills on rufus are pretty good…especially when he doesnt have meter…and they can punish whiffed divekicks too at the tip
4:19 = as usual…roses fireball getting her in trouble vs rufus from 3/4ths of the screen…dont do it =/ or at least fadc backdash or fwd dash and c. fp his jump lol
After this, Luffy pretty much gets rushed down after getting punished for the fireball despite hitting Marn with his super. Massive mistakes on both sides in the last 4 seconds of that round lol. BTW, why the raw focus on Rufus with 2 meters? I woulda just tried some safe c. shorts at that point lol
Game 3
5:10 = ooh, i like this wake under divekick punish. Is this a reliable setup you did here?
5:20 = once again, max range drill good against rufus whiff divekicks! haha, im loving it
5:25 = got away with the unsafe ex drill and has a perfect at this point lol
5:29 = omg you were doing so good up until this point when you tried to do the neutral jump rh and got swept. i woulda kept mashing backdash for my life lol. i think cause of this you suffered a close loss in round 1 here.
6:23 = hmm…sweep after c. mp drill again…and it hits! you gotta let us know whats up with this move vs rufus wakeup lol
6:35-6:36 = I really like the ex drill to get out of the corner before this. I also like the use of preemptive s. rh and f. rh here to blow up the jump attempts lol. but then he mashed messiah on wakeup again… -_-
7:08 = omg, nice backdashes to save your life that game…you shoulda done that last round…haha
7:29 = i like the ultra here, but you saw he was jumping, so i think you shoulda tried to soul throw here instead of c. fp which ended up whiffing and got u messiahed on his wakeup.
After that, Marn didnt care about blocking on wakeup…tough loss.
Anyway, hope this generates some discussion, because I don’t wanna lose to Rufus at evo. lol
