What you want is eroge(short for erotic game). They are basically jsut text stories with 2d CGs, some choices for story paths, music and voice acting. Some of them have really good stories. Also dispite being called a game, they don’t really have any gameplay.

Yah, I have a friend who plays those nonstop…

I’ve tried Tsukihime, and it was a spectacular game. My only gripe is that it’s not in an animated form. The anime sucks ass, and isn’t the same at all. I’ll check out your suggestion, though.
