I guess as long as the game becomes somewhat popular, it probably will get a release. I mean, SvG got a PS2 and PSP port, and everyone quit playing that shit a month after it’s release in the arcades.
haha i don’t think this game will get released here. underage looking girls fighting is weird. its an import folks, if its on ps2 or something in the distant future.
Yuki Enterprise’s new production got an official website the other day in preliminary form, but it has just received an update announcing the second location test, which will take part as soon as next weekend, this time in no less than four different cities across the country. That, along with the large coverage for the game in this month’s Arcadia Magazine, may well reveal that this is non-niche development from Yuki after all, and that they intend it to rival Guilty Gear and Melty Blood in the arcade scene. For now, we can confirm non-upscaled high-resolution graphics (looking very polished, in the Guilty Gear vein), which leads us to believe it’ll use NAOMI as the platform.
Another location test? Well, it definitely seems like Yuki is pushing this new game for all its worth. In any case, the sooner they get through this bit of testing, the sooner it can get its official release in arcades, and the sooner the period between that time and its home console port to the PS2 can be done, I say. :wgrin:
NAOMI (2), eh? Has the ever been any official word that this will be the platform of choice? I mean, sure, it’d be quite alright, but I was expecting Yuki to jump from the Atomiswave to like the Aurora or Taito X2, at this point…
Wow, not bad. Those matches, especially the last two were pretty interesting to watch. They’ll be more interesting IMO once people know how to play the game.
Neo-arcadia.com has new scans up of system explanations and movelists.
Some notes:
-The homing system is somewhat I expected to be. Seems to work like HnK’s boost system, although it seems you can delay the tracking and choose which direction you want to go- backwards or forward. Neo-arcadia.com has official scans that visual explain it.
-Those three green bars charge quiet fast and for free. Wonder if that’s a good thing.
-Unblockables. LOL, straight rip off HnK, even straight down with the charging animation.
-Another HnK technique ripped off- attacks wall pushing, though that priestess did it with a super.
-When I saw Konoha (ninja girl w/ scarf) launcher, kinda reminds me of Kage’s TFT. Look how high it launches!
Well, it certainly LOOKS like a generic Doujin fighter. Can’t really judge on the gameplay… but I guess it doesn’t look BAD. Just… not really exciting. Looks like players are finding some pretty broken moves already, good times.
Edit: Some of the later matches were a bit more interesting. It seems like the characters have a lot of mobility and options for defense so that’s pretty good. Looks like you can super activate out of being hit, so it functions like burst as well? That’d be … interesting.
Yeah…just reminded me of how good Kamui’s (samurai girl) TK ensenga-ish move is. Comes out much faster then Johnny’s.
I think that was just the Arcane Burst? It’s looks pretty crazy though, cuz it costs only one bar to do, and in one of the videos, someone did it twice in a single round. Hopefully it’s got a cap. :looney:
Well when you do it, it drains all of your super bar no mater how many meters you have, but you stay in that special mode until it runs out. No clue what that mode does though. Aces, another non-descript Heat Activation mode. ;o
Haha that’s true. You pay a big sacrifice activating it when you have a lot of bars, but it’s not so bad if you got one or two meters to burn.
Well, judging from the movelist, at least you get access to more moves like. And since it’s a heat mode clone, you probably get more damage, but I don’t know since no one uses the mode good enough for it be seen in the videos. But eh, we’ll see.
