I thought about it for a while (after talking to Zaelar) and well I don’t think it makes much sense for Ken to be using Fire Arcana with Saki. Lightning fits her way better, and he BARELY uses the thing for zoning, and just takes on like two extra hits with it at the end of his combos anyway.
I still want to abuse Iron Arcana.

In the first vid, i was talking to people and stuff and the time ran out on the char select screen, so thats why her costume is orange. I normally use the blue one as seen in vids 2&3 tho.

Lol me and my friend were joking that the first person who was gonna say anything critizing about how i played was gonna be you, hahaha.
And there were times when i would pretend to rush in and then 4D and avoid his attack, or run in and empty jump and block his super and whatnot. These are just the three vids that happened to be shown and honestly not the best representation of the really high depth strat that we each had to do to beat the other guy.

Seriously, im not offended. The way i normally rushdown works way better on other characters than on Yoriko, cause Yoriko is by far the best anti-air character with 236C, 2B, and 236A+B, and GC4 236C is SUPER good and will punish like, anything, AND does more damage than Kamui’s air super if Yoriko homing cancels and goes into her combo after that. So i have to really change how i play against her, but if i dont attack, i wont damage her. And j.C tends to clash with 236C on occasion, giving me free hits, so im somewhat trying to get him scared of doing 236C if he predicts a j.C. And anytime he rolls from the ground, he can 236C and itll out prioritize like, anything i do. I try to look like im rushing in and then 4D, but that doesnt always work, and then sometimes i jump in trying to block, but i get crossed up or something and then i get SPIKE TO THE FACE.
As for why i try to attack him during the pentagram, its cause if i do Mei Fangs air super (from above), there’s a certain spot where itll hit him and not only cancel out the pentragram but do decent damage. As for in the air, if he messes it up, i get free hits, as seen in the first match. If he doesnt, i just get sent to the wall and tech, no big deal. =P
Just keep in mind play vs Yoriko is VERY different from playing vs any other character.

Saotome - Yeah, i was throwing him a lot, tho throwing is more devastating with Kira than with Mei Fang, but yeah, lotta sitting there blocking and waiting for the open spot to 236C me. I actually appreciate an opponent like that because for about 4 and a half hours straight, i had to play against someone who not only wont fall for my rushdown, but will punish me for it HARD instead. It forces me to have to adapt to not always just blindly rushing in, and after playing that for so long, i got used to not only having one way of playing.
And yeah, i’ll try to have more matches vs other characters, cause vs Kira is VERY different cause im always attacking the entire time and staying on her vs Yoriko where i kinda have to chill more.

And yeah, Mei Fang is beastly. I’m starting to get more to the point where i tap you with anything and 50% of your life goes away. Ive only been playing her for 2 and a half weeks, so each day i played, my combos got better and better and it started feeling more natural as opposed to when i started and i was used to Lilica loop.
And yeah, it’d be awesome to play everyone here, but we’ll see how that unravels in the future >_<
Chibi - Nothing wrong with what you said, but asking questions about why i did certain things is prolly a better approach and makes things more clear. Cause you would think OMG WHAT A NOOB HES TRYING TO ATTACK YORIKO DURING THE PENTAGRAM, but i have my reasons for doing so. And things such as that. You know i still <3 you. <3

Yeah i figure that if he messed it up, he’s screwed and its worth the little to no risk i have to put in. And if i get that right angle from the air super, i can nail him from above. 
Tho sometimes i felt it was easier to hit him in power-up mode than it was in regular mode cause then he gets more offensive and his defense is FAR stronger than his offense.
Yoriko is one of the weirdest characters to fight, period. If you haven’t played against a good Yoriko who abuses her awesome defensive moves (on top of Arcana silliness to back it up) then you don’t know how frustrating it is to deal with. fubarduck’s foray into Gier Yoriko made me have to go through a major overhaul of my offense and Arcana selection just to keep up D:
