Great to hear that your not quiting on this game Sabin. This game is exactly what we’ve been asking for the longest time. A brand new fighting game with a new IP that doesn’t suck, and is actually 2D. To anyone that likes this game, I hope that you won’t sleep on this game, because even if AHF comes and sucks as bad as it’s sounding right now, AH is still good on it’s own. And if it doesn’t suck, just wait until the game gets ported.

Yeah I’m not going to quit as i would kind of be a waste. While I’m upset at Yuki, I prefer to be a player more than anything, we shouldn’t have to worry about bullshit politics like this in the first place. BEsides, I was at cf playing for the first time in a while, and the game was too fun for me to stay mad at lol.
anyway, if anyone wants to listen and call in on the radio tonight, feel free, just try not to be immature about it, k? i think im going on the radio at midnight to talk about the whole AH situation etc.
What I’m more pissed off about if anything is that this situation seems to be damaged beybod repair. Even if I don’t agree with tianyuans opinion necessarly i wouldnt want someone like him to stop posting, and he gave us a lot of valuable info.

Okay, now that everyone has calmed down a bit, can we get back to the same old Arcana topic that involved everyone spamming out of pure excitement for going to play this game? Yes, we know that there is very little chance that someone from America will will SBO for the fact that FULL will be played there. We also know that Arturo is a very competitive person who plays the game for both love of it, and wanting to get better on a international level. I think thats what we’re all aiming for, even me(although I’m pretty sure that I’ll never get to that level in anything). It’s never bad to have goals that make you work harder, and this case in no different.
But uh, to all the Arcana heads that have some time tonight, own a mike, and possibly a phone, try and call up to Alpha-ISM radio so we can get a good discussion on there tonight. Bunkei is dedicating some time tonight on the radio for this game, so we might as well utilize the time. I’ll try to call in aswell.
Once again, I’m asking that you guys upload those vids you’ve got in .avi format or something like that, so I can try and get them on my DS. I’m not asking that you do it right away, I’m just asking you do it whenever you put vids online, or anything like that.
And man, I got on guardcrush wanting to do a quick copy-pasta off there into a .txt file, but they’re using the direction smileys which makes it impossible. Jesuz, nothing is going right for my DS right now. >_>

Yeah sorry I didn’t get on the radio today guys when yall were on. I was on skype msging bunk and listening to the radio every half hour for 5 secs then switching off, at 1145, beacuse bunk messaged me saying that it was girls night or some stuff like that, and i kept tuning out due to ppl talking about stuff i wasnt interested in. Sigh, someone should have messaged me on im or wathever telling me when it was all good, but its cool. at around midnight i got tired of waiting and went to go do other stuff outside. Could anyone recap?

The fubarcade was the loli-cade tonight, with hot AH and EFZ action all night. Yoriko is freaking cheap (omg revision specifically to tone her down for $1500 plz), I choked up and threw away $5 to Stone (and then beat the hell out of him the next time we played =/ ) and there was lots of phat combos all around.
EFZ games were fun but that’s not what this thread is about!

Stone on Fubarduck’s comp: It was bs with alphaism. Once I heard the girl come on, I knew we were doomed from the get-go for getting on, although we were all waiting to see if you were coming on, Art. (the five of us at Ryan’s. Me, Fubarduck, Kamui aka Adam Deats, woof, and Crimson Disaster) Oh well. It’s a shame, I wanted to come on and discuss, and this was going to be one of the few nights I’d be near a computer on the weekend, it’s really hard due to my Texas travels.
Anyway, if anyone was on IRC yesterday, Ryan already typed up what was important. The current consensus on Japanese boards is just the same as this thread, not many people are very happy with the news, arcade owners and players alike. Apparently Yuki is getting about 40 calls a day about the decision. There are a few players that are welcoming the coming of Arcana Full, but it’s mostly the non-serious players that don’t want to learn how to fight the game’s BS, so they complain all the time.
The main thing with this is that either decision will screw over Yuki in the long run. Yuki loses the respect of the arcade owners for charging so much for an upgrade, which they know they can get away with because everyone wants to practice for SBO, and the players who are practicing AH and suddenly have to learn a revision of the game right before qualifiers which start incredibly soon.
The good news is that the decision for Arcana isn’t finalized yet, I believe Ryan said something about it being decided this or next week? Once it’s decided, it’ll be on the SBO website. Here’s hoping for a good decision.

lol absolutely pathetic. Stone, I thought the same thing too the moment the girl was on and Bunkei sent me that message by skype.
I was figuring with the recent calpoly tourney and the large money match between ducjr, ppl would be talking about the current happenings in the fgc…but…yeah.
But anyway, I’m not surprised one bit regarding what happened. the community for this game is extremely small, and noone cares since it doesnt affect them directly. You’ll just have to get used to dealing with it, if your game is not a evo game then expect it to get the shaft over and over and over again when you are trying to promote/gain awareness.
The sad this is i think this community is damaged upon repair due to the actions of Yuki and a few individuals on this thread, noone is posting. At least the offline community is still playing but i dont see it growing. im not getting my hopes up for next weeks tourney, but i still plan to run it.
i mean, some ppl in ny are already saying “imma wait for the revision”
Anyway, maybe when we get some news from tougeki (im looking at fubarduck) we should try to get on the radio again. maybe next week?
i actually thought tougekis decision was final regarding the sbo thing…theres a chance that it might not be? don’t toy with my emotions like that, lol. The sad thing is that is costing me money because I STILL WANT TO GO TO SHOWDOWN, but I’m waiting on news from tougeki staff or emotiongear, anyone who is “higher up” etc. While I’m waiting on tougekis decision, the prices for showdown passes have gone up, and so will ticket prices etc.

I don’t know if you downloaded the show from yesterday, but I was on the radio from 9:30 to 11pm talking about Arcana with DSP & Bunk. I was kinda the first person on the show, and I stayed on as long as possible to see if anybody else were getting on. You didn’t, and I said screw it. I already said what I wanted to say about the game, so I got off.

Played some arcana. Im pretty dumb cause i just figured out that you can only loop Lilica’s 236a~C A+C 236a~C A+C 236a~C A+C etc in the corner only.
And if you need to do stuff in the air without a super, the way to do it is:
(example) AA (if your opponent is in the air and you hit them with AA) jump j.A j.B dj j.A j.B 623B 236B 236A HC8 A 623B 236B 236C 236A+B (by this time you SHOULD have enough bar to super, if not, oh wellz, but you SHOULD)

adam’s lilica is fucking hilarious. dude just does NOT give up on 236+AB. shit clashes all day long but he tries so hard to land it sometimes. best part is how he uses it as a ghetto solution to do more reps for the PPA loop
not being able to play last weekend really threw me off though. took me a day and a half to get back to where i was before :7(
