You can buy the reflex arcade stick and use the PCB of it and add on to your stick. i’m not sure if this works because the reflex pcb doesn’t like alot of other pcbs.
if you have a psx stick you can buy an adapter. i recommond the dreambox from www.liksang.com or if you have a massstick the joybox from ebay. With the dreambox you can use your headset
MajinCable: Read through out the thread. Or search on the page some key terms.
Tracks: What kind of tool did you use to scrape the black stuff off of the DC buttons? I want to use an Official DC Pad for my stick. Also, is there a limit on how far you can scratch and where can you tell where you have scratched far enough.
I am working on the DC newer Madcatz and got everything to work except all of the kicks seem"analog" The kicks only come out when u release the button. What is that. Here is a link to the type of dc madcatz I am working on. I found this pic on CD vissions homepage.
LotusJuggalo17, I just used an Xacto knife tip. I would recommend just scratching lightly at first, just to get the feel. You’ll know when you’re all the way through cause the copper will show. Once you do one or two, you’ll have touch to do them all. You can take to it pretty hard from my experience without worry of damaging anything.
go buy a 10 ohm resistor and replace it i belive its the one one the left a little i think there is only 2 then after that it should be able 2 handle a little more wear.
Nice site TrackZ…I’ve been checking it out while at work Very good info. I have a question for you. Since you used the standard Sega brand Dreamcast pads for your hack, did you have any problems with the analog L and R buttons? For example, say you’re playing as Rolento on CvS2 and you want to perform a scouter jump (2 Kicks pressed simultaneously). When you press light and medium kicks at the same time, the move comes out perfectly, but when you press medium and hard kicks, does it come out 100% of the time? Try it out and let me know if you’re having the same problem as I’m having. This is a HUGE problem for anyone who plays as Zangief on Super Turbo or Alpha 3, since there is no shortcut for doing his lariats (3 Punches or 3 Kicks). Most of the newer Capcom games have built in shortcuts for these 3 button special moves so that you only have to press 2 out of 3 to get the move off. However, you should be able to press any combination of 2. This is also a problem for 3rd Strikers who like to do their EX moves with medium and hard buttons.
i wanted to rewiere my mas stick so that i can put on female .187 disconnects on them instead of having the wires soldered on. so i unsoldered off all the wires took the solder off the micro switches and put the disconnects on but im having trouble with the ground.
im using 22 gauge wires and the disconnects are for 22 gauge wires but since mas connected all the grounds together i decided to do the same thing cept with wires (if there is any other way to do this i wouldl ike to know) what im having trouble with is fitting 2 22 gauge wires into the disconnect i manage to put a few in but it seems like it would come out real easy if it gets tugged on or whatever, so any suggestions??
also jes out of curiosity lets say i made a stick for ps2, and now i want to use it for dc also, so i put a dc pcb in there now my question is do i have to ground the buttons twice??
Mulligan: If you haven’t already, try daisy chaining those wires and when connecting them to the quick disconnect, have the wire stripped from hald an inch to an inch, twist them together, then fold it in half. Insert the wire into the disconnect to be crimped. Should be a nice tugged fit and would have no problem with the wires comin loose or anything.
For the second system config, yes. You would have to have it grounded also. To this, you’d have to daisy chain the ground from the DC and the PS/PS2 and anything else you have. The only work would be cutting the wires/ removing the wires from the disconnects and using new disconnects for the addition. Hope this helps.
J-ride: You really don’t need a template for the SNK layout. Only one button is not aligned with the other three. Remember the first button falls below the last three. The last three of the four are in straight line. Just make sure you have it placed comfortably for play. If you have to, draw a diagram or someshit on paper and play with the placements and shit with the joystick hole already in place.
LiLa2nb0l: Sorry, but my sources say no.
MaijanCable: Your answers are within the first few pages of this outstanding thread.
MegamanDS: He’ll have to solder wires onto them through the pcb.
Ultima-X: Sorry about that, I thought I had the link up with the rest of the links I have up there.
I cant’ say that I’ve experienced any problems with it, although I’ve played mostly Soul Calibur which we map to A, B, X, and Y. I did play a little bit of SF3, but I play Ryu so I didn’t have need to hit 2 buttons like that. I did just pick up SFA3. I’ll try to give it a try sometime and see if there is an issue.
Heya peepz, I have a stick design, and I was curious if I could have some help with dimensions… The extra space on the side is for graphics, and plus I was sorta bored of the Mas-Stick look and the rectangle looking sticks, but that’s me.
