^haha, beat me to it. Yeah, I was going to say… download? Shi’t son, con-tact paper! Good stuff. I too used it for my first stick.
oh hahah, sorry if I was unclear. I know about contact paper. And I don?t want/have to use that. At my university we have a big printing lab, what I was going to do was print out my design on some of there nicer glossy paper, put it on my stick and then put plexi over it.
Which is why I was looking for art to download.
Still, I’d buy contact paper if somebody told me they had that nice white marble pattern…
Hey I was wondering if I can use 1/4 inch particleboard to mount a stick and buttons on. With a piece of lexan on top of that I think the total depth would be 3/8 inch thick. I am sure the sanwa buttons can fit on this but I dont know if the particle board will be strong enought to support the semitsu stick and my abuse. Is this a good idea, if not I have 3/4 mdf lying around and can use that if need be.
Your best bet is using the MDF. Just top mount the stick and you’ll be fine.

Looks great, are these ALL mods?
they look like hrap and naki fighting stick mods.
More or less :wgrin:
I’ve seen the others, but that last one “Meganekko” looks sharp. Great work, keep it up
Very nice. I like the strider city art in particular. The Meganekko Blade stick has the nicest shape I think. Also, I’m partial to 6 buttons. Keep it up.
Thanks NiteWalker. Goleafsgoaz showed me the sticks you made him using the graphics I did for him- you should post that up so other people can see it. You do some nice work :wgrin:
Also wanna thank Rod from Himuragames- he’s been fillin all my orders for parts without fail. He rox
DJ, I really enjoy your artworks. The Ichigo one doesn’t do much for me but the other two are very nice. I’ve also seen the goleaf artworks and the Cobra Kai one is just too hot. : ) Yay for retro!

anyone know where i can get a korean stick by itself
here’s my first stick. just finished it two weeks ago.
competition stick. i don’t what sanwa buttons these are. i ordered from happ but they have them listed as miniature pushbuttons but they have SANWA stamped on them.
custom artwork that i drew for the stick. (next one wil be much better)
sf:ac pad hacked apart.
next to my shoe for scale
3 quartered view
top view
sf:ac pad buttons
sf:ac pad d_pad
remember to zoom in if your browser scales them down. i should’ve set the the res on my camera to something lower.
Looks nice. As far as I know, Happ sells sanwa 24mm pushbuttons from their website. Maybe that is what you used? they look good, how does it play?
quick questions…can anyone explain the use of barrier strips in wiring the pad to the buttons??? having a hard time understanding it…=/
also, looking for a site for seimitsu parts(sticks and buttons)…anyone know where to go???
Dark Man X
barrier strips make it look very clean and nice. also, it makes it very very easy to replace a broken wire or loose connection.
final_cut
it plays perfectly. i have no issues with it aside from the looseness of the buttons. for instance, i love the hardness that the sf:ac stick buttons have. the “boing” they give off when you take your fingers off them. the sanwas don’t have this effect. i just got some competition buttons yesterday and am very pleased with them…i think the only way i’ll ever make another sanwa button based stick is if someone asks for them specificially or if i’m making a slim profile box. probably not even for slim profile since i was already able to modify one of the competition buttons to a little less than half it’s length with switch in place. (cut, cut, snip, melt, align, stick together, s.glue, and clean)
Any updates NiteWalker?
I agree, sanwa buttons are hard as hell to get used to. I do like happ competition buttons a lot. with sanwas, I tend to hold them down or press them on accident pretty often.
