AFter reading alot i got totall confused as i THINK i came across a thread saying you can dual mod with the Toodles Cthulhu PC/PS3 Board found on the lizardlick and that the multi console model wasnt needed?.
I’ve never ever solded anything so i’m hoping its a simple process =( got to search for a guide as well eventually for the TE’s
As a first time solder do you think its a simple process for the TE sticks? I am eager to have a shot myself with a bit of DIY or do you recommend me paying a professional to do it ( if it really is that technical)
ive read somewhere that there is an actual specific guide for dual console modding the xbox 360 version TE stick with Cthulhu Boards but i havent found it yet.
Looks like i’ll be ordering 3 of those from you when you have stock again Toodles =)
btw i was wondering how much postage was to australia for 3? all the websites seem to be OUT OF STOCK and wont let me proceed to the postage costs since there is no stock.
if its better for you toodles i’ll order directly from you
If I can connect a USB cable to the MC board and then just use an usb–>xbox1 adapter instead of soldering on an actual xbox extension cable… would the PS3 only board allow me to do the same thing?
If not… is there a difference when using an usb->xbox1 adapter vs soldering the xbox1 extension cable directly to the board?
Does anyone see any blaring problem with me using the turbo button on a TE stick as a PS button? (I’m waiting for Cthulhu to get back in stock but have already soldered a wire to the copper of the button)
The first page knows of at least 2 vendors that sell them and should have them in stock! The first page is kind of a know-it-all, use it wisely (and often)!
I thought I saw the guy from ModChipMan saying he had them in stock recently…maybe I was mistaken…but anyway, the point of my answer remains and if none of the listed resellers have them in stock you won’t be able to get them until they do (which should be soon since Toodles assured the resellers wouldn’t run dry) or until Toodles finishes his finals.
Wow my Cthulhus just arrived only a week later, thanks Toodles!
USPS may be a lucky dip, but our AusPost generally takes that long just mailing simple letters interstate.
EDIT:
I just plugged them each in to the usb to check the custom strings I asked for, one is correct but the other is still the generic Cthulhu MC Edition message. This doesn’t bother me as it still allows me to identify each controller, but someone else might be confused if they receive my second one and be thinking “WTF IS A BEARDPI?”
Well, I guess resellers are afraid the SFIV rush is about to wind down and don’t wanna get extra stock, I don’t see any other reason not to order more, it’s their loss tbh
I’ve been trying to get in contact with you since last week by email but perhaps your mailbox marcus@marcuspost.com is full? Anyways, I just resent the same email a few minutes ago.
Btw, I also have a msn messenger account. It is akfii@hotmail.com. So if you prefer online chat, just add me and we can talk over messenger.
Hi Toodles, I have a question regarding the MC Cthulhu. Is it possible to add Wii support as a Classic Controller to it? I know that there are little advantages over using the GC port (“semi-wirelesness” and access to more buttons are the only ones I could think of) but I want to know if there are plans to implement this or if it is possible at all.
