How to I order to Toodles directly in this forum?
sigh
K, now picture that times 100, in pm, email, IM. I swear to god Iâm just waiting for someone to ask me how to order via paypal.
SRK has become the biggest episode of Punkâd. Somewhere, Aston has a microphone and a light up display board, asking the audience âHow many times has he been asked TODAY? Letâs go to the reader board!â
bluenotcool, let me ask you: If that sort of information was somewhere, anywhere, WHERE would you expect to find it? If you needed hints to be pointed in the right direction, telling you where to go, where would they need to be in order for you to listen and go there?
Help me out here, because Iâm clearly doing something wrong.
because i bought my axisdapter from you, lol. im a noob
On an offtopic note, it would be neat if SRK forums sorta restarted themselves as a carbon copy of elitistjerks.com, but for fighting games. Considering this is one of the biggest english-speaking websites/forums for street fighter and the like, youâd think there would be more than a few willing and mature enough to do some real moderation of forums. Throw away the rep bar (how useless is that), hide join dates, put an actual report button on the threads for shit posts, etc. 90% of these kinds of posts would be gone in under 3 months

Question regarding IMP + MC:
I am currently adding MC + 360 Madcatz + Imp to my Pelican Universal re-using the existing cable. So in effect, I have 3 USB type connections going over 1 USB cable, 1 for 360, 1 for PS3 and 1 for original Xbox. I have 360 on D2 and MC on D1, when I plug in the original Xbox, the Xbox console does not see a controller. I have tested PS2 and GameCube connections they are both working perfectly and I have buzzed and verified that IMP and MC have 5volts from USB. I know for 360 I need to hold guide/home button to switch, but how do I tell Imp+MC to activate for original Xbox?
Hold Left. I havenât figured out how to get the Xbox1 to autodetect on the MC yet.
Thanks! Now it is working perfectly with Xbox. The only thing left is waiting for my Ebay Xbox->USB adapter to arrive then I can test out 360 and PS3. PS2/GC and Xbox all work perfectly. MC is an amazing board. I should have gone this way long ago instead of hacking PSX PCBsâŚ
I love pelican universalâs triple header cable, so convenient and compact. Wish I can buy this type of cable from some place, it is a perfect match for your MC board.
I feel your pain toodles! But I can tell you, the ONLY thing you are doing wrong is getting bent out of shape about it. Its the internet, and unfortunately for us it does not have an age or IQ requirement to use. I know it sucks, but it is the price of doing business, and dont forget, dealing with it up to this point has allowed you to become a well know and respected member of the world wide community along with making a little scratch in the process(keeping that in mind might help turn the fron into a smile I hope)
Basically the old saying goes: âAs long as there are tests, there will always be prayer in school.â along those same lines, as long as their is internet there will always be ignorant noobs to annoy us.
I do have some real suggestions that might help you, for noobs the huge OP can be daunting, it would be better if your âOfficial Anythingâ thread you had control over the first say 10 posts in the thread, let the first post just be a Table of Contents with hyper links to subsequent smaller posts in the first ten that are smaller and more topic specific. That wil help a little.
Another thing is privatize you IM and emails except a dump email address for taking orders, and state any non-order emails will be deleted/ignored and to go to OP first before posting.
As far as PMâs I dont know of any way to filter/turn those off so thats gunna suck.
But there are steps you can take to control/influence info coming your way to make ur life easier. I(myself) would tell the noobs to FâOff get mod permissions from Mr. Wiz and start banning peeps who didnt go to OP first, but then Id lose hella business that way too, so dont be like me haha, just hang in there dude your doing a pimp job!
Bump* Can I please get the specs for the MC Cthulhu power resistors that go right next to the USB I busted one of mine and cant find/figure out the specs in order to replace it thx
deleted.
Payment sent for 1 MC Cthulu assembled board and an Imp kit w/ shipping to Canada. Thanks Toodles!!
I know, and youâre right. Iâm just trying to figure out what I can do to curb it down to a minimum. Seeing them keep coming is just making me chuckle now, like the post right after mine today asking the same thingâŚsigh
There arenât any resistors next to the USB. The only resistors on the board are the two yellow 10 pin packs. Each of those are an array of 9 resistors, each rated 10k ohm.
Next to the USB jack on the MC are two diodes; the small glass ones (N4148âs) should go over #3 diode and the âUSB Onlyâ diode. The black ones (5817âs) go in the #1 and #2 diode spots. If you broke one of them, you can most likely work around it, depending on your setup; if you dont have anything going to row #3 column V, then you dont need the #3 diode. Ditto for row #1 and #1 diode, row #2 and #2 diode, and the USB jack and the âUSB Onlyâ diode. So if you have an RJ-45 setup, you only need the one diode.
If you make another order, it wouldnât be a big deal to include a couple of spares for you. The glass ones are uber cheap, and the black ones are about 25-50 cents each depending on how many you order from the suppliers.
You and me both. Glad to hear its working. The PSX seems most prone to error when installing, if anything just because it has 3x the wires of any other, so be sure to test it out on a real console before closing the box up for good.
Now that my stick is done, and youâve all seen the wonderful and clean wiring jobs some people have⌠itâs time to witness the opposite!
Yes, it actually fits and i have everything in a good place. The case is a Tekken 5 stick and Iâm going to be moving the start/select and the crappy guide/home button i have to the side of the thing once my order from LL gets here (whenever that is).
Amazingly the whole thing, mad catz pad, CM Cthulhu and Imp, all worked the first time I tested it. It switched fine, it connected fine and best of all absolutely zero lag on it when using it on my PC.
You made a damned fine set of hardware, Toodles. Now if only MS werenât so anal about their controllersâŚ
Yeah I was writing that post at lunch yesterday and had to leave b4 posting, my session had timed out when I came back and I had to go back and requote that post and I saw it, I just wanted to start hitting my head repeatedly against something hard ughâŚ
My bad(not resistor), yeah I broke one of the diodes, no worries, I live next to a Fryâs and can pick them up easily next time, they just have WALLS of these things and unless I knew exactly what I was looking for its like trying to find a diode in a hay stack haha, ontop of the fact I would have been looking in resistors b/c Im still pretty noob at on the hardware side.
Thx toodles
Just finished up last night, the MC board made things so damn easy! Big upâs Toodles

i did try to search , but found no answer.
What is the 5v for on the pcb?
Basically i just have to ground every button and wire them to the right spot? and the same with the joystick?
so what is the 5v for? im sure its 5 volt but what is the application of this? led?
thanks a lot
Youâll need it for any mod that requires power. LED mod, dual pcb mods, Perfect360 sticks, Sanwa Flash sticks, and Suzo inductive sticks are the most common uses.
