You lost me at QS. Doubt anyone will help you there but I’m sure you can find a lot of tutorials all over. (yes I hate QS so I’m aware of how to do it…but it’s more for me as a last resort in CQB)
There isnt really a go to option. If your just started it depends on how proper you want to play. You can start the semi auto sniper. If you miss you can just spam and hope you kill. But thatcould lead to the idgaf attitude towards the forst shot and once you switch to bolt action you will be back to square 1. I think use the balista to start and keep using it, overall its the “best” for quickscoping. It zooms in a bot faster and cocks a bit faster between shots it does how ever get more hit markers than the dsr. Itsup to you. Theres no needed perks or equipment or anything. Nothing afect the snipers to benefit QS.
For quick scoping it’ll probably be worth bringing stun grenades with you, that way you can slow the opponent down and hopefully buy you a couple extra seconds to line up your shot. Toughness will reduce flinch, no brainer there, will help keep your shots in line. Fast hands if you’re the type to immediately switch to a secondary after your first shot in case you miss or just get a hit marker. Use the DSR if you want to force yourself to get better quicker, slower ADS/bolt time/and movement (I think) in exchange for greater one-shot kill zones helps push a higher reward/risk concept. Ballista gives you more leeway in exchange for less one-shot kill zones, and it has the always fun iron sight attachment.
None of those perks outsideof fast hands are useful. You need to rember 1 thing and that is he wants to quickscope. When you “quickscope” you are not zoomed in very long at all. Toughness serves no purpose to quickscoping at all in this case. Stun nades are really also not really needed. Granted you areequiping alot less stuff you would otherwise so you may as well but if your using stun nades as a crutch then you need alot of practice.
My biggest peice of advise would be, do not be one of those thirsty kids who run in to get the montage clip at all costs. Those kids tend to just die 20 times and maybe get 12 kills. They learn nothing and never actually get better. Play in heavy populated areas where there is cover you can abuse and play a hybrid style to start. I would recommend no secondary to force the use of the sniper. I quit quickscoping after geting annoyed of my friends trash talking my kdr and usefulness in a team. My AN-94 and Scar have 2.74kdrs now and i dont really like sniping anymore. Good luck bud. And remember the thirst is never quenched when you play like a tard so play smart.
What, toughness is perfectly viable. Toughness reduces flinch in general, not just while you are ADS, so it’ll help you keep your reticle aligned while you’re under fire.
Smart move if they’re going to raise the cap over the life of the beta. Make people play around with early level stuff for a while, then let them move on after enough time has passed. Good way to collect more data on everything.
Is the time to kill still really quick? I love the longer time to kill from previous blops specially blops2 that game was perfect in my eyes… Well as close to perfect as we could get in a long ass time. Halo 2 has been the only game to surpass that threashold before that and before that i didnt really play shooters like a try hard…
Regarding TTK, this is the prime opportunity to be vocal and say if we like it or not. I do believe BO2 had it near perfect. I look forward to next week when I can try it out on Xbone
Agreed, what i liked mostly is you could turn on people. And it rewarded people who can aim. If your shooting someone in the feet its gonna take longer to kill than if you shoot someone in the chest. Its like that in the other games too but its not all that noticable. You are fairly rewarded for not sucking ass and i apreciate that, im all for acessability for new players but when even a god awful player can have a good game because the game is too fast amd spawns are bad it irks me.
What do you guys think about dota style maps where every map has 3 lanes? Personally i love it i feel the game flows alot better spawns for the most part are better and your not always getting shot from 6 different hights and angles its like you know 80% of the time the opponent is gonna be infront of you and your team has to split up properly to maintain map contol. Good stuff overall
3 lane maps I never had a problem with. MW series had them and I didn’t mind. I was fine with them in BO series. They can still add complexity to said 3 lane style. Will post examples of them later when I’m not on mobile. Only one I can think of as a great map for now is Highrise/Skyrise from MW2/AW. On the surface it’s a 3 lane map but as you look deeper there’s more options to traverse the map to get to objectives and the alt routs aren’t symmetrical.
Im a fan of stuff like raid. A map where the lane you pick determins how the battles play out. It allows for all playstyles but you can abuse a lane thats not being held by the other team
