Sync issues are ruining the game for me, it’s like, I hit 4 times, with 4-5 hitmarkers and it registers 2-3… It’s stupid.
Welcome to Call of Duty
The lag issues are worse than ever before. Its legit you get turned on because the 20 bullets you fired only 2 actually registered. They need to fix this asap you will lose a gun fight even if you fire first and all your shots are on target.
It might be the change from 360 to PS4, or the nature of the netcode. In BO2 I’ve never had this issue, I hit 4 and I got the kill, I won every 1v1 against everyone on that game, now I just do the 4 hits, HITMARKERS, screw my 1v1 win, I get shot twice and die.
Actually, PC and XB1 users are reporting the same, it’s the netcode, it fucking sucks.
I didn’t have any lag issues when I had AW on PS3, I made the upgrade(which magically also gave me all my PS3 unlocks and put them on PS4, holy shit right?) but on PS4 1 in 5 games have some noticeable lag on them which isn’t that bad.
Idk consistency should not be this bad one game i go 20-4 the next i go 4-15 because im shooting my little pony themed cupcakes at them.
i def dont have the same consistency as you o.o my losses usually come from the teams getting shuffled and me ending up on the shitty team and being the only one pulling weight
It’s especially bad on PC, since there’s so many other games you could go play that have dedicated servers.
LOL, next gen systems yet same old lag, what does this come down to? ISP? Servers? While I enjoyed online MP since I’ve had my ps3/360, lag has been always a giant buzzkill. Teleport fighter, Glitch of Doody, Quantum Physics Tourismo. All have been a mediocre experience, all due to inconsistency of online gameplay. What will it take for this to not be so much an issue anymore? This is reason why I didn’t even bother getting the next gen systems from day one, why pay for something that improve on graphics and maybe framerate, yet still have issues with it’s meat and potatoes: online play. Does dedicated servers remedy this, or is it just ISP being behind the times or just how it is?
Lag Compensation isn’t going to magically change on Next Gen consoles. You’re a fool to think that.
So minus $600 later, I get pretty graphics but ass-gameplay? Gotcha.
My consistency in blops2 was 40-6 easily averaging 20-30+ kils a game. Not being afraid to fight anyone. In this game im scared to even shoot someone in the back because my bullets may do nothing. I got from maintaining a 2.70 kdr in that game to now i can barely hold a 1.50. This game has a serious issue with the netcode. I dont play too aggressive nor too campy. I pace myself according to whats happening on the map and where people are or may be located. Its def not because im bad. I honestly cant remember the last time i went 4-20 in any fps Maybe back when halo 2 first came out?? Even then i doubt the spread was that bad. This game has issues that need to be addressed.
My brother has a $1400 PC and he still lags in some games, do you think it’s the console’s fault? A sometimes it might be the ISP (doesn’t have any trouble in a lot of games), or sometimes it’s the netcode of that game that just plain sucks.

That’s my question, what needs to improve to have a better online experience? Does it come down to ISP or what? Of course a console isn’t going to solve lag, but what will? My friends and I are in the same boat, the games of last gen that we played were mostly online, mostly had lag issues, and mostly wasn’t a good enough experience to move further into next gen systems.
It could be ISP, it could be connection quality of your opponent(s). The lack of dedicated servers is nerve-wracking.
who in here plays on ps4 and wants to play momentum? :3
It’s a complicated issue but if everyone had a good connection things would be easier overall. I had peeps complain about lag bit they were torrenting at thw same time!
I haven’t played AW very much, just a few hours, but the only COD that has had really bad lag issues for me was BO2. It was unreal in that game. Other CODs, not so much. I play on PS3 btw, so perhaps it’s just certain consoles getting hit with bad lag.
I forgot to bring up something a while ago I found which was very interesting however. When I played, my friend brought his monitor and PS3 over to where I was playing with my other friend. Whenever a match started he would enter into the map far quicker than anyone else, like at least 10 seconds before hand every time, regardless if it was a new lobby or not. This is at the same house using the same internet. The same thing happened when he went home and was on his own connection. I don’t think it’s him being the host of every game, since it happened on multiple internet connections.

The gameplay isn’t a problem, that shit is awesome.
It’s just lag that seems to vary in intensity from person to person and depending on what console you’re on.
