Spawn and die. Spawn and die. Spawn enemy is right around the corner. You die. Boosting isn’t as good as in BO3. Map design has no flow. Reminds me of AW.
All weapons melt like the Vesper. Either the hit detection is really good or you have very low health and just die really fast like in Ghosts.
Connection is shit as usual. I shoot first and then die but in the player cam it shows the other player shooting first. Must be the Mexicans.
Lots of homeless tryhard players in this beta too. You see them camping in one corner. The next time you respawn you see them in another corner. Then they go to another corner and camp there too and so on.
It’s basically AW + Ghosts + BO3 Lite. It has more of a chaotic AW feel.
It’s my opinion and my take on the beta so far. It’s hard to take anyone in this thread serious when most of us are pub players. It’s the typical chaotic Infinity Ward game. I’m not even complaining about those tactics. It’s just that I didn’t expect that kind of play in a beta. It wasn’t like that for me during the BO3 beta.
The maps in the BO3 beta were more open when compared to Infinite Warfare.
IMO from what I’ve experienced in the beta, if you like the chaotic AW pace, then you’ll really like IW.
So again…sounds like what we expect from an IW CoD game…Treyarch style is slower paced. Worst case scenario, MWR will be the go to for this year either way.
Does anyone need a beta code? PM me if you need one; I have 3 left to give out.
Edit: they’re only for PSN though.
Edit 2: I’m remembering something: if anyone here is on Amazon Prime and hasn’t pre-ordered yet, do it through Amazon. I don’t know if I’ve just built up credit or something, but Prime knocked a net 12 bucks (after tax) off my Legacy Edition pre-order for PS4. We’re talking with Release Date shipping and all.
I feel like this is worst than Ghosts in that regard, at least Ghosts had stupid big maps, so I felt like I could control my engagements more and had more time to move around and position myself instead of spawning feet away from death.
Haven’t seen all the maps yet so I can’t judge too harshly at the moment.
Always wanted to ask this but since quitting cod didn’t bother: how cod is from the last 2 games, I noticed those that had lousy internet did better than those with solid connection. One example is when I went in a match with people from the hood, they won majority of gun fights same with people from Canada that lives in the out skirts of sasachuwan. What is it called again? Network Predictability? So how come in blops 2 I rarely came across these bullshit moments, when I notice the guy first, and as I’m about to fire, he already got the jump on me even though his character wasn’t even facing me? My internet isn’t the greatest, but I’ve got 3rd party router and modem hooked up through line. But homeboy that brags about stealing some ones WiFi goes in and destroys. This is what pissed me off the most on the last 2 games. The beta on blops3 supposedly had dedicated servers, and maybe it wouldn’t do shit with that predictability, but I didn’t recall ever experiencing this shenanigans before the game got released and there were no servers. I’m not getting IW, even though mwr might be one that pulls me back in if sold as a separate game, but if this nonsense of punishing those with decent internet while giving those with crappy stolen internet an advantage continues I won’t bother. I don’t know how you guys continue to endure this, then again since most of you are teamed up, maybe it doesn’t effect you at all unless your playing a crew from the projects. And with that I’ll see myself out again
Can’t speak on that for sure, but Lag Compensation (delaying shots to make it fair for people with higher ping) is something all the COD games have. It’s just worse in some games than others.
Plus, I don’t know what you’re talking about with bad connections. I have a bad connection and get melted in half the gunfights I’m in, even if I blast first and know for sure I was shooting right at the guy. My gun shoots strongly-worded emails.
We stay because, sadly, this is the best we can expect from COD now.
Treyarch has never been good with hit detection/netcode, but their games have the better overall presentation/gameplay now. They’re the innovators in COD too now. People in the know are looking to them to bring the new shit that changes up the game, like with Scorestreaks, the Pick 10 system (BO2), and Specialists (BO3)
Infinity Ward has the best hit detection, but often terrible ideas and lackluster presentation. Hell, straight up stealing from Treyarch this go around might be the best idea they’ve had in years.
A few threads there are legit but the problem with reddit is that they ALWAYS think that they speak for the entire community of a game. Rarely do they realize that they’re a minority.
Got some playtime with the beta yesterday finally. My initial impressions are "why play this when I have BO3?"
From a cosmetic/presentation standpoint, I’m not really feeling anything about the game looks-wise.
-The overall color palette is dull. This bleeds into everything, from maps to soldiers.
-The gun camos look tacky.
-Except for the robot, the specialists kind of blend together looks-wise.
From a gameplay standpoint, things are about the same if not worse.
-The boost movement is not as fluid as BO3.
-The specialists are about the same in terms of annoyance factor.
-The game seems to have the same hit detection problems as BO3. Maybe I just suck at shooting though, and things will get better.
Overall, the game is meh to me right now. It’s not good or bad, but there’s no reason to play it if I already have BO3. I said earlier that I.Ward stealing from Treyarch is the best thing they’ve done recently, but stealing like this only works if you make your stuff better than what you took from. I.Warfare is not better than BO3 to me yet. Maybe that’ll change when I get more playtime in, but I’m not counting on it.
IW has been getting shit on hard so Driftor and CsgoMartn got sellout more early, preorders are way down and people are generally pursed you can’t play cod4 without the IW disk in.
