The Official Borderlands 3 thread.... EXPLOSIONS!

haha, funny little thing I noticed a little while ago—in one area there’s a box of “SPLODEOS!” cereal, with of course Mr. Torgue on the box. If you hit the box you hear an explosion sound followed by a guitar riff. heh, nice.

I started with Zane (playing on XB1); I’m only up to level 7 so far…went with the digi-clone (I was a big fan of Doppelganger Jack’s clone shenanigans in Pre-Sequel so this was my top choice easy) and that skill with the flying drone. An old friend from college started as FL4K but we haven’t actually played co-op just yet.

I’ve been running Moze with the orange skill tree (cant recall the name). Once you get a couple kills and get your stacks up you just blow through whatever enemies are left. Not very good against bosses unless they have adds though.

What are some of the cool guns you’ve found? Best I’ve had is a purple AR with tracking bullets. Its damage was insane compared to other guns around its level.

gonna crosspost this in the PC Gaming general thread as well, but it’s been documented online via the image below that the PC version uses a Denuvo on steroids, and it’s been causing the cracking groups fits. The following image I posted apparently came from a Discord, and I can verify that it did not come from the Borderlands Discord.

I go into a little more detail about the image in this post:

So in the process of trying to pirate the game people figured out it was doing all sorts of bullshit?

We live in a goofy ass timeline.

yeah, I’m tempted to just play on PS4 after finding this out tbfh. I wasn’t really having problems with the PC version, but I’m really upset of this crap and don’t wanna hammer my data cap to redownload it if I were to uninstall and that issue gets fixed or patched out.

It has issues on the console too, no locked 60 fps.

Xbox One’s preferred mode by the devs is a 1080p at 30 fps.

And the PS4 version has no such option.

Its 2019, not having a stable 60 fps is inexcusable

So far my biggest complaint with the game is the wonky ass menus. I would have been perfectly fine with BL1 menus that were clean and easy to read instead of some silly interface that has several seconds of load time just to look at a map/distribute a skill point.

I’m at endgame stuff and Moze seems absolutely broken. I can’t say for sure because I haven’t played the other characters, but (without spoilers) I’m doing the “hardest” stuff in the game and its a cake walk. I’m just running round hip firing smgs and murdering everything.

From passives + class mod you can run around at around +80% gun damage. Then you can get 3 stacks of +20% and more stacks of +10%. After 3 kills you are doing 170%ish gun damage + 30% incendiary. Also regen ammo on criticals. Oh your shield is massive and I’m invulnerable to lightning. The mech is garbage late game. It servers as a way to save you from FFYL.

Man i wish i had more hours to play this game :sleepy: after seeing gameplay Moze and Flak are my next choices… Flak is a boss killer and Moze is an everything killer lol.

Has anyone played the Siren?

Thoughts?

Im playing as her now… shes ok. I’ve only got her at a low level phase grasp atm. If you are starting a new character flak or moze is way to go… then zane… then amara.

I’m rocking Fl4k. So far he’s pretty decent, but I’m just now beginning to open up his skills more. Just got to Promethea so I’m still way early in the game, like level 11.

Matching elements to weakness is more important later. Makes me think Siren will be pretty strong.

What’s up with this?

It was a bit abusable before. There were spots where you could farm 100+ legendaries an hour.

Man, FUCK Billy, The Anointed. Bitchass fucking ogre.

I just got done with the Traunt fight earlier … that dude’s a bitchass. Took me three attempts to get the damn fight down.

I didn’t struggle too bad with Truant, fortunately. I was able to kill him in two Fades with Fl4k. Granted, that was before he got nerfed so I took advantage of his crit build.

I did a crap ton of damage in each phase in Iron Bear. The heavys in that area have a ball on their back, that if you shoot them; they go down a hell of a lot faster. Same thing with Traunt, you can do the same. I got him down by popping Iron Bear w/Railgun and Minigun on cooldown; DPSing the weakspot on his back with the Railgun and using the Minigun on the rank and files.
