I totally prefer Hyperion shotties.
They have insane rate of fire and reload speed, have huge multipliers, great sites, and usually have large clips.
My Gauge totes an x17, with a 2.9 RoF, and a 2.7 RS, and a 13 clip - what is not to love?

read up on some things
there’s a homing gun that ordered anarchy gaige players should probably look into.
Don’t judge until you’ve tried, the rest of the internet already does that.
I’d say Zero and Maya would be lower than the others simply because they don’t handle crowds well (Outside of Maya Ruin shenanigans and possibly certain Green tree builds for Zero. Even then it’s poorer than other options). They do, however, have the ability to stick a lot of damage on a single target pretty easily. I do think they both take a step up in team settings though. Maya can heal and grant bonuses to teammates, whereas Zero can use his ability to distract, cover allies, and cause a ruckus.
Overall Zero is probably the weakest in any tree, but he is still fun and not overshadowed by other options. He just feels like he develops better late game and with some allies in tow.
am i the only person who feels like maya is super underpowered? i just can’t seem to get much traction with her, solo or in group play as a healer i always feel like i’m not contributing as much as others.
The Bee is just to emphasize how much damage he can really get into with a combo of slag and whatever other gun you choose. I cant use that low capacity shield with sal anyway. Cuz like you said he needs to take more risks than the other characters and those risks make the bee pretty worthless.
How are people building Axton? I first went down his red tree. But then reset the skill points to try out his blue tree. I dont really like the blue tree so far. I feel he needs the red tree and probably the green tree to really go nuts on people. I really don’t know how to set him up to be really good. He’s level 30 right now. As soon as I go back to sanctuary I’m setting up red tree then green tree.
No?
You guys must run the shitiest Maya’s ever. Mine just wrecks the fuck out of everything so does Akimbos.
Wasn’t judging, I just couldn’t really give an opinion on them yet since I haven’t played them, so I put them at the bottom.
Either way, seems like Maya is just an underrated character overall.
More like we’ve played the other classes, and see she is nothing compared to them?
Yeah going to have to disagree, she isn’t OP like Lilith was but she is still good. There just seem to be a few builds that work for her but they work well. I know I have never once had an issue either in Single Player or MP with Maya. I just think people build her wrong.
Zero is the worst MP character by far and the best SP character. He just demolishes everything if you level up his melee and nothing can touch you.
Last week me and Akimbo ran Dual Sirens and even though he was 5 levels above me and everything would kill me quickly. We still wrecked shit and wrecked it hard, the only time either one of us died was really just out of laziness.
Maya just looks weak to the living avatar of death (Salvador), the man who can destroy things with his turret or on his own Axton and the girl with the killer robot that gains damage buffs for not panic-reloading.
She’s still my favorite character.
This game seems to be more combo centric then the first one. For example me and Ayo ran a Siren/Gunserker combo and it destroyed all. It was seriously just a stupid combo, I phaselocked and elemental damaged everything while he tanked it out and finished what little life they would have left. Commando/Mechromancer would seem like a really good combo as well. You got your range AOE and your close range DPS.
Zero is damn near worthless in MP, not even considered.
I’ve been going down the Blue Tree (Gunpowder) for a while and can share my experiences with it, and how I go about murdering everything. The mindset is to deploy the turret in a pocket of enemies and forget about them, focusing your own weapons on stragglers or other groups and working in tandem with the turret. Once you get the Nuke ability this is pretty easy to accomplish.
I’m of the understanding if I toss my turret in the middle of a group of enemies, they are already dead. If the Nuke doesn’t kill them the bullets sure as hell will. With the Turret out and already some kills I just activated Metal Storm and Battlefront, two invaluable skills in the tree. With the increased fire rate and damage stacks my goal now is to keep the Kill Skill active during the engagement, something that can be activated by Turret kills or myself. I’m appreciating Longbow more now as I can carefully guide my Turret where I want it to go, and as everyone else pointed out, it gives me some beefy health to boot.
If I get downed I have points put into Steady and Do or Die. with a low cook or Singularity grenade I can get back up quickly. I really prefer Singularity here as most enemies have a tendency to run away or behind cover and denying you a second wind chance. If the Turret is still out that can help nab you a second wind, and increases Grenade damage.

When all is done this is how I want my build to look, emphasizing my Turret being out for a long time and racking up kills to improve myself and do the same. Also I like explosions.
how should i go about building her then?
Well here is what you have to decide first, are you going for damage or team building. If you are going team building ask Neesa, that is what her Siren is. As far as just going straight Ruin.

You want alot of elemental, alot of phaselock abilities, it is about DOT more then anything else.
You also want Ruins that either improve your cooldown or give you elemental resistance.
With this build you have an increased Cooldown rate of 24pct, lets say just for example you get a ruin that does the same, your next phaselock comes out almost 50 pct faster.
The other thing you are doing is complimenting Ruin, Helios, Chain Reacting, Cloud Kill, Blight Phoenix, Suspension, Coverage and Quicken all compliment the Ruin ability and her Phaselock in general. You are talking massive DOT to multiple targets. Then you have Reaper and Flicker to drop shields and get quick kills on weaker enemies, therefore causing more DOT to the surrounding enemies. You use Ward and Inertia to quickly replenish shields as your shield replenishes for any kill you get no matter the reason and an instant 40 pct reduction in reload speed. You also should be using elemental weapons with her, mainly SMGs, Pistols and Sniper Rifles.
This is my Lv 50 Axton build. I use mostly blue, which I’m satisfied with. Metal Storm and Onslaught work well together, and when you include Battlefront, that’s even more damage at your disposal. Longbow lets you deploy your turret anywhere in your field of vision. Don’t underestimate its usefulness.
The nuke is awesome, and is worth spending the points on. It has a large blast radius, will blow back anyone in its range, and does big damage.(explosive and DOT fire). The turret also has the rockets, so you’re dealing large amounts of damage all around.
I personally do not like those builds, you are spreading points out to thin for what will be more then diminished returns. If it works for you go with it though. Maya and Gauge are really for people who have played MMORPGs.
Eih, it works for me. I’m not dependent on Quicken cause of the relic I use. Also:

It just looks like it is trying to be a jack of all trades type of thing, problem is those classes do not actually work. There are too many skills with just 1 point which will do close to nothing on higher levels. There is nothing your teammates can home in on and go okay he can do this so I have to take care of this. It tries too hard to be alittle bit of everything and ends up just being meh. No skills really builds on anything else and there is no real thing that it is built toward. Maybe I just played MMO’s for too long.
It looks like people who tried to play Priest in early WOW, where they tried to be shadow and heal at the same time and sucked at both.
