Hey, I’m thinking of picking this game up. What makes Bleach DS more unique than most 2D fighters?

Funny, I was JUST thinking about that. The answer is the it isn’t unique in the traditional sense. As a matter of fact, it’s an amalgamation of all of the major innovations of the past few years, retooled, rebalanced, and improved. CvS2’s roll system is limited by a meter, but the meter is fast building enough to keep the technique useful. 3S’s EX moves are more severly punished by removing (temporarily) entire stocks from your dash meter, however, they are advantageous enough to still be worth the sacrifice. The guard cancel system from SvC uses the dash meter, taking up enough meter to be less abused. The plane jumping system also uses the dash meter, which not only means that plane jumping can’t be endlessly abused, but is also far more useful. If you bait your opponent into using too many EX moves, you can move to another plane without being followed for quite a while. All in all, the game is one of the best fighters I’ve played since 3S. Seriously. Buy this shit.

-does the wi-fi connection work with any wireless router? lets say, im at college, will i be able to play online?

No, but there is a list of supported ones on nintendo’s site. Even if your router isn’t on it, you can buy an $40 USB dongle that plugs into yoru PC and acts as a wifi port for the ds.
I just gotta say…whoever made the challenge mode was sadistic as hell. Thats some advanced shit they have going on there.
Has anyone here actually cleared the challenge mode?

This is a better game than I expected.
If you think byakuya is broke you have yet to see the true horror of Aizen.

I just made a huge update on the wiki. I didn’t do any character specific stuff yet, but I’ll get right on it. Recently I found a ton of awesome stuff in the way of combos…etc, so stay tuned!

Which characters have more than a double jump? The only one I know for sure is the guy with two swords that looks like a stoner in the coolie hat. :lol:
Yeah Kyoraku I think is the only one, but it uses up meter to extend it past 2 jumps so it’s pretty much the same as a shunpo or whatever the flash step term is.
I think the top broken characters would probably be Ichigo and Aizen at the top. If you know about hollow ichigo cards then it’s pretty much repetitive bankai. At least 4 + depending on if you can pressure them to before they activate super.
