I would like to see this patch as the last, but is impossible because of the next 3 expansions :confused:

I finally started getting back into this game, after not playing for about 3 months. I finally unlocked the P90, which is my favorite gun IRL.

Engineer Carbine tiers:

Top:
-M4A1

High:
-A-91
-G36C
-M4

Mid:
-Everything else

You COULD make the argument that certain ones in Mid-tier are better but yeah that’s how it looks PRE-PATCH. Not sure about post patch cause every gun not named the M4A1 got a buff.

Checking my record on BF3stats this is what I came up with.

I knew I was a vehicle whore didn’t expect to be in the top 2%.

G53 got some good buffs so I think you will definitely see more people using that. I use it already, its quite nice for rof and accuracy with the burst fire though it can be a little weak on damage but I think a buff will send it closer to the top of the engi class guns.

M4A1 still has it beat in TTK and recoil maybe reload time to IIRC.

Have you tried the G53 (HK MP5)? The burst is excellent.

Yeah it has a bit too much kick for my tastes. Still a decent gun. I liked using a HB or a Suppressor on it.

What he basically says its that vehicles don’t dominate as hard as they used to infantry experience has been buffed.

Is me or tanks are complete garbage now? :S

DICE has made it so that vehicles, while still scary, don’t flat out dominate anymore. It’s some kinda odd “balance” if you will…

The only things that made tanks amazing were the motion sensors and armour because it meant support guys couldnt get near it and if they did then they needed to put like 6 C4s on which took time and they had to replenish C4 too in order to fully destroy the tank.

Over all it looks like DICE may have gone a little bit too far in terms of satisfying the scrubs by attempting to stop them dying as much but I hope its not so much that nothing actually kills anyone. People will probably just find new things that dominate anyway so it should be ok.

6? It was 3 max! What the hell tanks were you attacking? I’ve never had to use any more than 3!

Tanks are more realistic now, a tank can’t just roll in and dominate against everything, see what happens when a real tank gets hit at close range by direct fire from another tank shell, you’re not going to survive the several hits you would previously in B3! I know it’s kinda silly talking about realism in the game, but it’s true. I didn’t care if they changed it either way, I had fun in tanks, but I had more fun killing them!

Normal tanks were 3 but ones with reactive armour wernt. I dont think the tanks needed changing to much other than the armour though. If the armour was lower then they wouldnt have to load up engis with 10 rockets which, being so many, turns infantry battles into rocket fests too. If they were really wanting to be realistic then they would give engis 2 rockets at most because I have never seen a soldier carry 10.

Something tells me I am going to yell who uses stingers every time I die in a helicopter now. Something tells me I am not going to enjoy this patch for vehicles. With the exception of if I hit a helicopter with a tank shell it just goes away now.

What I’ve read/seen is this:

-Tanks/IFVs die faster but can “back-up” quicker when disabled

  • The repair tool has been slowed down kinda
    -Singer missiles now disable an aircraft in one shot
    -Stinger’s have less range but lock on quicker
    -Below Radar counters stinger AA lock on

Yeah…

That made me very happy, I need to get on this weekend.

Reactive Armour absorbs a single rocket hit or a single charge of C4, I still don’t know where you get 6 from or the need to resupply yourself.

Hence why I said it was kinda silly to argue realism in a video game. I still like the idea of less ordinance to kill a tank though.
