4v4 Squad Rush Newegg Tourney starts tomorrow at 9pm EST. I have 2 spots on my team (of 6) and can use the 2 to play tomorrow.
It’s free and goes through January (if we keep winning) …just looking for a couple of guys that can have fun on voice and play together, no ragers…just playing to play.
Level/experience doesn’t really matter, just be able to hold your own in ground fights (there’s no vehicles so if that’s what you usually do don’t bother)…having squad perks would be a plus, 2 of us have all the perks and the others have a couple.
Here’s the email I sent to my buddies with instructions to join the team (you have to put a PB config file in your folder to log your PB activity, which will tell you your PB GUID)

- Go to this (hidden) directory:
C:\Users*Trav*\AppData\Local\PunkBuster\BF3\pb
Replace <Trav> with your windows log-in username
- Modify/Create a new text file called ‘pbcl.cfg’ (must be .cfg, not .txt) and make sure it has the following:
pb_logtofile 1
pb_MsgPrefix "[skipnotify]PunkBuster Client"
pb_Sleep 500
pb_LogToFile 1
pb_SsLog 1
pb_SsSave 1

Join a server with PB
-
go back to C:\Users<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\PunkBuster\BF3\pb
and there will be a new text document that tracks all your PB
activity, named pbcl as well (the first one you put in is a config
file as opposed to a text file)
- open pbcl.txt and (ctrl+f) search for ‘guid’ , you will find what your ID is.
Just don’t join if you can’t make it tom at 9. I don’t know if games are every weds or what…this will prob be our only one rofl. Though on that note if enough people on SRK are interested in joining a league we could start something.

I got so pissed at seeing everyone running around spraying the F2000 I never really used it, I know the AEK-971 is my favorite and the M16s are up there
I messed around with the AK-74 and AN-94, they seemed to not keep up…Famas ironsight was too terrible for me to even look at. L85A2 is pretty good then? I need to play some SQDM and unlock it

We run a team of three when I play, two Snipers and an Assault. We work like an actual sniper team as in he uses the MAV to spot targets/annoy and I take them out with the rifle as we cover the Assault dude who’s just taking flags. Toss a Spawn Beacon in the back, hell of a good set-up.
But then again anything in this game is like 1000x easier and less stressful with good teamwork. Also I agree some maps are way to vehicle heavy.
I’m tire of squads with zero logic. Anybody on 360 please add me!
I’ve found my gun. ACOG’d Famas with silencer. So sexy.
I leveled up my jets to get heat seekers. Oddly I was doing better relying on the machine guns. Still good to know I can put up a fight.
And yeah Recon sucks. TERRIBLY.
And they nerfed IRNV a little too much, me thinks

And yeah the IRNV nerf makes playing my aggressive/defensive Support class less enjoyable now =/
You can’t be aggressive when you can’t spot someone clear across the map. Though, spotting them with an IRNV from across the map is one thing, and trying to mow them with a SAW or an M240 is another :lol:
I just rekindled my love for the G3A3 after throwing a foregrip on it. IMO, The G3A3 is THE best stock ironsights on all the guns. Peripheral nice and clear, and the reticle is concise. I love it.

That LMG is still my favorite. Manages to keep that fine line between accuracy and fire rate.

And yeah my support class is weak sauce now after the IRNV nerf. Gonna try out the PKP though as others suggest. But IRNV still is fucked. It needed a nerf, but they went overboard. It’s like the dude who nerfed Bison gave em ideas
At first I was bummed over the IRNV nerf a bit, but then I just switched the scope on my PKP to a holo and i’m so back in the game. Throw in some nasty claymore play with the Squad explosive specialization and I’m so damn good to go. I’m top 5 easily with my support class configuration.
Most boring class for me is without question Recon… Next best is Assault, although as an assaulting unit it doesn’t hold a candle to the ‘support’ class.
Is the SRK squad on PC alive?
