All you really need are Stealth and IR Flares. Weapons are your choice.
So why didn’t I play as assault in the beginning? Oh wait, I wanted to blow shit up with my RPGs 
The assault class is a lot of fun. Actually having a rifle that can hit enemies at long range is a huge plus. But not being able to do shit against armored vehicles other than spotting is a huge down side for me.
The assault class is pretty ass, imo. It’s all I play and on most maps, I’m stuck holding my dick because there’s enemy armor all over the place and I can’t do squat about it.
I suppose it’s okay on rush, but in conquest… no point (except grand bazaar, best map ever).
But assault has the G3. Gdlk gun.
I’am a little frustrated in this game. I know the recoil is pretty strong and you cant just spray the riffle all over the place and expect kills but damn. I sneak behind someone with head and body shots taking about 40 bullets point blank and the guy turns around and kills me with 1 burst.
Anyone wanna hop on PC later on tonight and try out that XP thing with the EOD bot?

To not be blown out of the sky the second you take off when there’s plenty of ground lock-ons, sure, but the complete weapons package and radar sure as shit contributed to his dominating the air like that.
I get the same problem and it’s not like I just hold down the fire button wildy firing a violently recoiling weapon, then I seem to get one-shotted by the same guy with a 416 after he’s absorbed almost a full clip from my G36C.

A buddy of mine uses that but he’ll get shot of the sky easier by Engineers with Stingers and/or rival Jets and Helicopters. I don’t think Air Radar is worth the slot it takes up.
Current setup for jets is radar, extinguisher and unguided missiles. Radar helps with dogfights though without stealth it takes like maybe two real seconds for them to lock on. Extinguisher when used adds +50 health back to your plane on top of putting out the fire. If pilots don’t have a tendency to chase you after they disable your jet you can come back. However, the extinguisher can’t be used as often as flares and it doesn’t prompt you on when to use it when you are hit generally. Unguided missiles are for tanks and anything that flies in a straight line for too long. Most pilots panic when you lock on, but if you have air radar its easier to sneak up on them and know if you are being followed.
Tank setup is armor,infrared and coaxial HMG. Canister shells are okay and destroy people near your tank, but reload slowly and only get on shot. Armor puts three shields on your tank one on each side that absorb and entire hit from another tank cannon or an RPG. The panel is destroyed and can’t be repaired. Anti tank mines as well as C4 kill you regardless.

Added everyone I was able to from the PC side…wonder when they’re gonna allow load-out modifcations on the battlelog or in between rounds…such garbage having to waste time in game to do it.
i really like operation metro for support, and as you said, bazaar for assault. i dont really care for the maps that everyone else in my group seems to be all pumped over, operation firestorm and caspian border mostly. I spend all match running around trying to find someone and taking flags and i never see anyone
