I can confirm that after the game was preloaded from the Amazon, Origin was the FIRST thing I had to install in order to continue.
What principle? You just dont like Origin? Its really not all that bad. Is it as good as Steam? Fuck no, not even close. Does it work good enough to warrent purchasing a game that requires it? Fuck yeah!
Shit, even though I prefer to play games on my consoles this is one game that I refuse to play on a console. I may suck with a mouse and keyboard and I may not like it as much as a controller but the game just looks (and sounds) so good on PC. Fuck a console version of this game.
edit - my daughter isnt interested in the game so I wont be getting it for both the console and PC. Just PC.
The single player better not be that short as that is the main reason Im getting this shit. The single player campaign just looks so bad ass.

I refuse to support anything that moves game publishers towards all having their own content providing system that locks you in. Valve has Steam (but they were first, are the best, and are open to everyone), EA now has Origin which it is piggybacking onto BF3 for no reason other than getting their software installed onto as many computers as they can knowing that people will just install it, let it idle in their background spying and reporting back all kinds of information to EA marketing. What happens when Activision requires the same thing for their next big game? No thanks. Not supporting that

I hope sure hope so the wait is killing me, i want to see how this is going to look with my new hardware. When I tried to run the game it did the date check and told me ill be able to play it tomorrow at 2:00. It didnt say am or pm, it had better am damnit.

I tried to launch it as well but it just said I gotta wait till the release date, it didnt give me a time. I wanna be able to go to the Battlelog and add some people. If its anything like the Beta having these people on your Origin friends list wont matter as you will have to add them again to your Battlelog friends list. Pretty lame but whatever.
I probably wont even play the multiplayer tonight. I’ll probably just play the campaign for an hour or so then hit the hay.
