Well, the guy with the snobby tude was right, a lot of us (most?) wont be able to run this at max/ultra settings.
Does anyone here know anything about Crossfire? I was wondering if I have to use identical cards when doing crossfire or can I use two different cards? As an example - Could I Crossfire a Radeon 6950 with an Radeon 5770 or would I have to use two 6950’s?
^Compatibility list, current up to 6XXX series. Looking at that list, it’ll be a no-go for you. =/
I really hadn’t planed on doing that as I only have one graphics card in my possession (its not one of the cards I used as an example in my post) and don’t have the money to spare on another card right now. I was just curious. So the simple answer is yes, I can use two different cards?
Edit - What the fuck is wrong with people? I have an older card in my PC now and I figured they would be relatively cheap since there are cards that are probably as powerfull as mine and cheaper by now. The fucking cards are mad expensive and none are new. Cant find it new anywhere and people are charging mad dough for a used one. Crazy ass motherfuckers.

I just used google to search and see how much a card like the one I have costs. If it wasnt too expensive I would probably get one but they’re expensive. I could see if they were a newer card but they’re older and probably arent even made anymore and people want more than what they cost new (probably) for a used one.
I thought it went the other way…shit got cheaper as it got outdated.
getting the most powerful single card you can afford is BETTER than buying two underpowered cheaper cards. Don’t be cheap with them, save up and get the best

you cant use different generations (except for the 5770 because thats the EXACT same thing as the 6770)
Thats actually not true for top of the line cards right now.
Two 6950s in xfire will outperform a GTX 580 all day. Whats even better is that you could flash certain 6950’s to a 6970’s with firmware (if you can still find the exact cards needed)
So basically I could do it if I used two 5XXX series of any kind or two 6XXX series of any kind? But I couldnt do a 5XXX and a 6XXX in crossfire? Is that what you’re saying?
