i went to an all boys highschool…there were still cases of molestation by the priests there. i wasn’t a fan of that school (since it was mostly lebs, italians, turks, maltese, arabs, etc…)

correct me if i’m wrong but isnt the age of consent in the US 16? i’m not condoning a relationship between a 16yr old and a 30yr old, but if the law clearly states that it’s not a crime for someone at the age of 16 to have consentual sex then its not statutory rape.
No we don’t nee more double gender standards. throw away the women just like they do the men. Were there teachers I would have LOVED to get it on with in high school? Yes! But does it make it right that even if a male teacher had a relationship (even a NON-SEXUAL one!) with a female student who was very close to the age of consent and within some reasonable age difference of her teacher (< 5 years), that male teacher will be ruined for the rest of his life and possibly suffer physical harm while incarcerated because of it? On the other hand A woman having a highly sexual relationship with a male student (and god forbid a female student) becomes a spectacle and a source of admiration? Get out of here with that. It’s not what a teacher is supposed to do. If y’all want to wait, sure. If you want to give up the teaching job, fine. but these people are supposed to be teaching our kids, not dating them.
