its mainly psylocke and im online so i have trouble blocking magneto and her because they keep crossing me up and cant tell what side there on then i cant seem to beat storm with commando on her side i’ve tried to snap her out but i cant always get it to hit
In the defining stages of my team still and want to know what combinations would work well and why.
I want Dhalsim on the team, so writing out ones with him and god tier alternative out of the characters would be nice, and which god tier he’s the closest analogue to.
So characters:

So what are some reasonable teams with this? Also, are there any other characters based on these interests that I should try out that supplement Sim or similarities to him?
Check the Dhalsim character section of the forum I just went through the same thing getting a Sim team together and you will find exactly the info your looking for.
I eventually settled on Dhalsim (Anti Air)/Sent (Ground)/Cyclops (Anti Air) which is a very tight team.
Also, Chrisis look for Murakumo on the Dhalsim section he is the man with Sim and extremely helpful.
I would have kept learning Dhalsim but I just can’t execute his teleport because my pad does not handle the dragon punch motion well. It throws out a Yoga Fire 50% of the time leaving me very open to a counter Also it eliminates his teleport which is HUGE for mastering him.
Chrisis if your on 360 send me a friend request and I will teach you what LIMITED Dhalsim stuff I know.

my favorite is Dhalsim(Y), Sentinel(A) and Cyke(B). They’re the best overall team for for him. Cyke with anti air and dial-inferno combo. Sentinel allows him to do damage from full screen and punish assists.

I’ve been using Sentinel as ground, what’s good about rocket punch? Does it have more block stun for Sim’s funky mix ups? Or is there something else good about it?

I haven’t quite figured out the correct way to utilize cyke except as a pseudo CapCom what would be the best way to learn the Sim/Cyke basics?

Did indeed! Tis very good, though was wondering the best ways to learn such more than the actual combos, like a progression of start with combo X, then after that you’ll have the skills to learn combo Y, and with both those skills one can access combo Z.
The vids were very helpful, and watching over the entire set made me actually want to find some way to get AAA Iron Man on the team as you showed off a lot of cool things with them.
Some tips that helped me a lot in no particular order.
1.If you connect with Dhalsim’s Yoga Fire super you can DHC cleanly all the way down to Cyclops for mega damage.
2.Sents rocket assist as I understand it is great to call if you ANTICIPATE a hit. For me if the throw out an assist and I know they wont rush me down I do this. Say they use CapCom assist I then do cr lp (while simultaneously calling out sents rocket assist), cr lp, cr hp. Its a safe poke that does good damage while not using an assist.
3.Cyke is an absolute beast who 1 on 1 can hold his own with everyone in the game, he is just unorthodox to use. For me I SJump and RK while running and then hit them with specials for chip. If you do it right you will frustrate most people into making mistakes.
- Also still with cyke he can help you out alot against iron man and Cable because he punishes their mistakes with his small beam super. This next strat is not limited to just these guys it will work on most any super that does not have instant recovery. Say Iron man uses Proton Cannon or Cable uses his GROUND HVB they have a lag that cyke can punish for big damage. Heres how block their super then do this extremely fast. a normal ground optic blast QUICKLY CANCELLED into his small Optic Beam Super. It will hit everytime safely and more importantly discourage them from throwing it out clean. Also you can DHC with other instant startup Supers as well.
5.Also take advantage of flying with Dhalsim. If they have no AA to punish you just float above their head calling assists and poking with Dhalsims normal lp and lk.
6.My fav Sim trick is cr hk(the one where he slides and sweeps them)XXYoga FIRE SuperXXHSF(JUggled as best sent can with Rocket Punches)XXSOB if they dont roll you got them easy for good damage.
7Also learn the range and setups of Dhalsims Yoga Slam super most people wont see it coming.

actually, cable can AHVB after after you hit him with SOB…AFAIRemember. if you go for super, always knock him down with MOB even though it does less damage.
What About Megman AAA, Doom AAA and BlackHeart AAA ive been trying them recently as a keep away trapping team and they seem to work quite nicely… Megamans AAA shuts up sentinel nicely the only person i have problems with is Cable… Any advice on things i could use

This is a pretty fun team, at least for me, but it’s not particularly devastating.
BH and Doom together are either a Cable magnet, or at least too slow to kill anyone to be a real threat, unless you’re sick with BH (and if you are, you’re probably playing Sent or Cyke). Much the same goes for MM. You can keep some players pinned with buster shots while Doom adds chip, but it just takes soooo long to kill anybody that way, especially since the DHCs aren’t too potent.
Using this team against a good Cable is near suicidal unless you Mega Man is way good and you have a lot of restraint with assist usage. Even then it’s a bit of a crapshoot.
This is just nitpicking really, but I much prefer MM’s Balance type, especially if I’ve got another AA or two on the team.
I destroy crappy cable players but yeah my team mostly just chips and i cant lie it takes a while to kill anyone i love blackheart and megaman though i just love making my opponent sit there cursing through there mic do you think sent would work better with my team
Also people mostly just jump over doom rocks combined with megabuster… I wish megamans AAA was completely invincible like kens and his megabuster did chip damage lol that would be heaven… come on capcom why are you company mascots so crap in this game :tdown:
Yeah, Sentinel would be good overall for the team, but then it’ll look like anybody else’s. If you don’t feel like changing it up, just approach the enemy differently. Are they jumping your Doom? Instead of firing a buster shot (after a while people will catch on), jump up and throw them down into the rocks. Are you utilizing BHeart’s dash? In most cases it’ll just get you killed, but if you get the timing down when you are close to an opponent, call Doom and sliiiide right under. You’ll feel like a really tall Strider. Other than that, focus mainly on things that dish out damage without Doom rocks. He’s tired of being shot at…
MM-> launch, lp, lk,->Hyper Mega Man-> Armageddon
Doom-> Any air combo-> Photon Array-> Beat Plane - The closest Marvel gets to Galaga
Also, with MM on point, I like to get in with - normal jump forward and buster shot, call BH AA assist, then slide trip. Just watch out for Capcom assist.

I started to play ranked matches with this team now and so far have 50 wins and 8 losses
The way i didnt even know those dhc combos and they actually helped my game alot…
Ice man however still annoys me with his no chip damage but ive found ways of chipping away tons of health with this team…
With megaman i call doom and then do rush drill into heart of darkness
and with blackheart I use doom rocks slide under them and then do judgement day in the air followed by rush drill then electric cage to keep megaman safe

hahaha yeah I was going to show DHCs for low tier characters when paired with BH but the DHC section was already soooo long. Another good thing to do if you’ve caught them in the beat plane is to cancel to JD. Done right it’ll add a chunk of damage to the combo. Man I’ve got a lot of different sequences that you can do with MM on point, using the BH assist, but it’s so much easier to show than tell…
Beats is SOB the small laser? I figured that would leave you less open. Or are you talking about doing the big Optic blast in the air? does it have less recovery time than when you do it on the ground?
sob is small, mob is big. you want to combo into mob (through cyclone kick) because it knocks cable down (so he can’t AHVB you).
if you do sob to him and hit him, he can still AHVB in your recovery iirc
I will give it a run tonight, I just could have sworn in that situation the supers were reversed I thought MOB was the one with the huge recovery time. Oh well thanks for the help guess I am lucky I don’t run into many good Cables.
you seem to be confused. MOB DOES have the huge recovery time…but ON BLOCK. technically it has the longer recovery time on hit too, but it KNOCKS DOWN.
SOB hits, but the opponent is NOT knocked down…which allows him to AHVB you. : /
