Also, I’m beginning to realize that Jiro scarcely uses SA1.
you mean use or choose? because when i play akuma i only use it as antiair or low forward hit confirm when opponent is crouching (so the lk tatsu wont connect)
I mean…CHOOSE. Naw I’m just kiddin’. He picks the SA1 most of the time (in the videos I’ve seen anyway) and SA2 every now and then. In fact, it seems that I’ve seen Jiro use the actual Messatsu Gou Shoryu instead of Messastsu Gou Hadou.
Up until recently (when I’ve seen a number of Goukis use SA2) I felt that there was no reason to use anything other than SA1/Raging Demon/KKZ. It’s usefullness just outdoes the other supers in every way.
I still don’t understand what’s with the rash of Goukis choosing SA2 against Yang and Dudley (only characters I’ve seen it against). I mean, against Dudley you get the unblockable OTG super after a throw, but that doesn’t work if they tech roll, so what’s the point? I mean, I guess you could get Yun and Yang in the middle of a dive kick with it, but SA1 already does a ton of damage to those two.
Anyone have an explanation?

I can’t figure out why top Urien players continue to use aegis against akuma’s when half the time they just teleport out of it.
Well what other super would they use? His other two are pretty dumb.

TSC has recently talked to Hong… who passed on that Ack of Canada’s team (including Ruu and a Ken player) won the last Game Vision 3 on 3 ranbat. It’s going to be something special to watch…
Ack and Hong also teamed up at a Shibuya 3 on 3 tournament, coming 2nd place and losing in the final match to the final player of the opposing team, who was none other than Nitto. Doesn’t look like there are any videos though.

Funny thing is, I caught a glimpse of Hong in some video a long time ago and I thought he looked a bit like Ack. Now they’re beasting together. Can’t wait for the video of the first one. Maybe a miracle will happen and there will be vids of the 2nd too.

i dunno wtf it is, if i’m too tired or what, but apart from the scanlines running down the screen that video seems to make 3s look REALLY good. like just blurry enough so i can’t see the pixelation of the characters, but with no frame skipping so it doesn’t seem jerky at all. it looks fluid as fuck. like a fucking anti aliased cartoon or something.

you can still garuntee aegis setups and pressure, and if you are prepared for him teleporting, you get a free throw.
