“I knew they were going to throw it,” Butler said shortly after the game. “Our defensive coordinator is real smart and with a goal line, three-cornerback formation we knew they were going to throw the ball.”
Also happen, Browner knew he had to grab and hold Kearse on that play for Butler to make the play.
Damn, I was able to grab up Lockett in all my leagues from FA in exchange for some late round picks. Except for SRK League 2, in which he was drafted by @rcaido
It was obvious they were not going to do the obvious thing which is run the ball.
They have more than one down and goal, they have Lynch, they’re going to run it and try get it on that one yard line to push it over.
In a regular game, every time, but with the superbowl on the line, Hawks wanted to throw the curveball. Problem is the batter knew he was being set up and instead of taking the bait he reads the curveball and puts it over the fence.
That’s all it was. The defensive coordinator just read it, offensive coordinator was an idiot, he shouldn’t have tried to get ahead of himself, he had downs to play with, he had Lynch, he should have just ran the football. This kind of shit is why offences don’t do dummy shit every play because being tricky isn’t that tricky when everyone sees it from a mile off.
Throwing it to a guy with 18 regular season receptions in the first place was just a stupid idea to begin with as well. You throw it to the guy who is at best a third string receiver and then you wonder why he’s soft on the goal line SMH.
What more since I thought this was done but it’s obviously not…
Wilson fucked the throw up.
He should have hammered it in at the belt buckle and not hesitated for the half a second he did. There is no way if Wilson threw that thing like a rocket at the guys belt buckle it was getting intercepted. Worst case scenario the pass gets broken up but that close to goal with downs up your sleeve you’re not out of the game like that shoulder height lob.
Better yet, Wilson could have just ignored the raving mad OC and let Lynch take the snap in the shotgun.
Man even if he was roiding, and I don’t buy the roid argument whenever someone is a star, but even if he was others have been on roids and not managed what he does.
You can say he must be but if you want to make that assumption about him you’ve gotta make it about most of the guys he faces and the fact is he’s just better than everyone else. He’s more agile, stronger, has a massive leap so he gets up and under people quicker, like for a 290 pound guy he’s fast as hell as well. Watt is changing the game more than anyone on defence has since L.T.
I wanted to fit in the reference from the 1st avengers movie. Iron Man said something similar to Cap when they were all arguing in the lab on the helecarrier since you said he’s practically CapAm.
Though… I do think most people are on something. They undoubtedly have insane talent and work super hard. But what some of these guys do isn’t human.
DEs may be the most athletic people on the planet.
