Actually I’m pretty sure I was the only one in the topic who believed he wouldn’t get fired. Considering WHEN he got fired and the presser afterwards, it showed a depth of hatred toward Chip that I didn’t know Lurie was capable of.
I thought he’d be gone at the end of the season, not a week before the end. But that was when all those college jobs got open.
Then all those college jobs got taken and I thought he’d stick around another year.
But then he got fired the week before the season’s end. Whatev.

I just realized how funny it is that you can’t trade coaches in the NFL, yet you can compensate a team for taking their coach.

Doesn’t matter its retarded to have the only westcoast team play at 10am, when there are other time options. I dont think it makes a difference but i just hate 10am games. I like to buy a lot of food & shit, i dont feel like eating at 10 fuckin am. It 10am when we play the Panther the following week too.

Its not because of the Seahawks record, they just choose to pick those time. Its an unfair disadvantage for a westcoast team to play at 10am. When Arizona last year played the Panthers, they start the game at 1:35pm.

I’d rather watch a game at 10am than 2am like I’ve done because the NFL sometimes does fuckign double headers on Monday nights.

The game is at 11 am in Minnesota, which is normal time for the hosting team. If the Seahawks wanted a better time, then they should have won their division. But they didn’t. Arizona did.

10am is some bullshit time. Its the playoff, they can have easily gave the schedule to Washington vs Packers which are both east coast teams. So it would have been 1pm for them.
Coughlin is a tough one, it is clear his teams weren’t preforming but it was also clear it wasn’t his fault.
You do realize that Green Bay is off the coast of Lake Michigan, yeah? And it’s actually off the west coast of it. Also in central time.
I don’t know whey they don’t make the Sunday schedule the same as the Saturday one. Saturday gets prime time but Sunday doesn’t?
That’s actually a pretty good argument. I guess they just want to keep Sunday football at regular times.
It made sense for Coughlin to resign. They’ve missed too many post-seasons in a row and after the way they played this year it didn’t look like they’d made any improvements. At the same time though, with two Superbowls to his name in recent memory and possibly a Hall of Fame worthy career it’s really awkward to just turn around and sack the guy. It was probably for the best he just walked away.
