He was on fire. Opened fire. Released fire. It was everything that he did in the first few seasons kicked up to the max. The optimism, the sarcasm, the fourth wall breaking, the boyish bashfulness. Done deal. It’s like Pam was the Rita’s wand that made him grow. It was what Chun Li was to A2. Jim just did it. He’s such a breakout character. Season 4 looks promising.
Hopefully, Jim will have to defeat his records to qualify.
Great episodes, they actually had me going at first until the end. Also hooray for Toby in the second episode, he finally wins something.
So now that it is obvious Dwight and Angela are through, I get the feeling she either ends up with Micheal or the other guy from the Daily Show whose name I forgot.
YES YES YES YES YES I absolutely loved the season premier!
They weren’t as funny as I thought they were going to be but at the beginning i was really ticked off that they kicked off karen from the show, i would have liked to see that tension in the office. Then they tell me that all that build up and kicking karen from the show was for nothing when they said that pam and jim werent together.
But then they were. im so happy for my girl! pam looks at jim they way i look at pam. golly, i feel really good. im about to do homework since im in such a good mood. Gah! what a great evening, isnt it guys?
i’d say angela gets back with dwight… or goes with roy maybe? i don’t know though - the only person for her is dwight. it’d be CRAZY if she started dating andy. i could see an episode where andy moves in on angela and dwight fights him or something.
Well, some inner part of me is so glad that jim and pam are together. But at the same time the show lost a lot of its tension from that. The rest of the characters are too crazy to really take seriously with their problems and it feels so contrived. I know it’s supposed to be absurd, etc. but before it at least felt grounded in reality. This episode was just like “WHAT WILL STEVE CARELL DO NEXT! SO ZANY”.
Parts that stood out for me though were: Jan passed the fuck out in the beginning, the religions discussion “Satan, the master of lies”, Ryan of course, “Cats do no produce meat or wool or milk” etc.
I enjoyed it a lot, I think I just hyped it up too much for myself and didn’t live up to it.
Darrel feeding the squirrel was the highlight I thought. It seems like the show is going to take a turn towards the absurd now that the conflict between Pam and Jim seems like it’s through. It looks like they might try to shift it ti Angela and Dwight but I don’t think it’ll have the same effect. It’s hard to say whether that will be good or not. One thing they need more of is Ryan. He is my favorite character and I was expecting him to have a bit more face time but I’m sure it’s building to something good.
