The NW Everything that has to do with sticks thread!

yo child.

If you have a dremel tool and a grinding piece, nothing. Besides the parts you put in it, that is. If you’re asking me to do it… hell, I’d rather make a brand new case than mod a T5. It’s been done, though.

Does anyone think they can replace the buttons on my stick with new convex buttons? Preferably red?

… man, you guys. I don’t even wanna get started on my thoughts about joysticks. Anyone that knows me can tell you that I’d rant a novel.

There is no “joy” in US joysticks. Fuck you.

lol.

too true.

sanwa’s with a bat-top are pretty sick, if you don’t like lollipop tops, that is.

00000000, when are you coming down to oregon again?

So don’t laugh, but I have an X-Arcade. The serial port that connects the stick to the converter in the back is really loose, and I often get the blue screen if I fidgit with the position of it. Can someone help?

Sounds like loose solder joints. The blue screen is probably a result of it losing connection/shorting out.

Gotta take it apart and use a soldering iron, a little flux, and some solder to reheat the joints.

It’s a very easy fix.

I got one of those X-Arcade sticks. I put in a p360 spring to give it better tension…it’s just begging for a full 360 stick.

And those sticks aren’t really bad if you use em for floor play. IMO the stick is just too unwieldy for the stock spring.

Those, a screwdriver, this, and these.

DIY, yo.

Then again, never took apart a Mas stick. I assume they use cherry switches?

I have an X-Arcade as well, when I got it I replaced the stick and the buttons with Happ parts. They’re really not that bad, especially the newer ones with the less flakey PCBs. I had the same problem but it ended up being the serial cable that was messed up, not the solder joints.

Look at the pins on the cable, aye.

Gotta be straight.

So I got really frustrated tinkering around with the stick that the serial connected to the PCB fell off. Am I in trouble? I don’t know anything about electronics, and when you said solder, I almost threw the stick away.

Does anyone want to do this for me?

Buy a real man’s stick. X-arcade is garbage. If anything, save the box and put in happ parts and plug at least 20 of those extra buttons.

The X-Arcade is garbage! I’ve had it for a few months and the serial that connects it to the PCB has already broken off?! What kind of junk is that! If I knew how, I’d hack a PS pad. That would probably require a PS pad…

If you’ve only had it for a few months then maybe you can get a replacement/refund.

Beats me.

TEPID! 3s, aside from a couple things I"ve noticed the sticks -seem- better than ever. I HATEH8H8H8H8 P360’s/US sticks BUT they feel more comfortable now than ever.

I could hack a pad for you and install it next time we’re there. On-the-spot installation, and you’ll learn to hack a pad on your own. Just gimme $10

Ha!

HA! In that case, you’d LOVE the cab in Lloyd Center, Portland! FUCK THAT SHIT.

it’s not that bad, just don’t use a charge character.

That’d be like telling a a single, hard-luck guy, dating’s not hard; jus’ start dating people that are easy.

…don’t get it twisted, I’m not saying “eay” = non-charge. The analogy means that you’re basiccally telling someone that becuase of outside circumstnces one should do something contrary what they want only to justify the act.

i was just kidding.

the sticks are alot better now man, the day of the tournement they were just put it so they weren’t broken in at all, but for sure now there alot better give porkland another chance =D
