I got to play it once. Kenji is slower than he was in Warzards, and Jedah didn’t have his secret super. Past that all I saw of the game was Alex vs Urien. Yippee. “Awdang! Alex and Urien are the men! You pick whoever you want yo, I’ll 1 man the whole game with Alex/Urien/Jedah/Chun-Li!” What’s the fucking point. They take the hugest fucking characters from the games, and then throw them together. I have no questions that the top tier characters from 3rd Strike and Darkstalkers would beast the shit out of anyone else, it’s the nature of the system they’re in. I have little desire to migrate systems to play a game that will be out of style within the year, and is really just 3rd Strike vs Darkstalkers. I want to play it to find out how people have changed and see new takes on characters’ systems. I don’t want to play it because overpowered character 1-3 from game I play otherwise are present and intact. What’s the point.

Ryu needs to learn how not to suck in these new fighting games. All those DPs in waterfalls, and it mounts to him sucking. Hell last game couple games, Ken was better than he was. Lesson to be learned, if you want to be good, stop practicing, and go fuck women. Happy Thanksgiving.
Regardless of how Ken stacks against Urien (I guess he must be better, since everyone picks him all the time, though perhaps it is a counter to Chun Li, I am not aware) at least Ken is a straightforward angles/supression character that’s been around forever, and of which really is the measuring stick for fighters. Urien is an inverted-angle (knee-drop/headbutt) charge character with active zoning capabilities (the aegis reflector and his shoulder rush being the two primary, with the charged fireball as a sequential stopper for close range) When other games didn’t have these off-color styles they can’t keep up. Out of who I’ve seen in the game, only the higher-end of each game can cover these extraneous players, which doesn’t matter anyway, as it’s a side-effect of their overall badassness anyway. Jedah being a prime example, though he’s sans his secret super.
I suppose it’s nice that they chose fairly non-standard styles of characters from the 3rd strike line, since the other games had the standard roundly covered, but similar to SVC, when you take characters out of 3rd Strike, which is like the science of the SF series and mix them with other games that aren’t as in-depth, aren’t done as well overall, and don’t have play styles that 3rd strike has, you can’t expect them to line up well.

ALL of the SF characters are top teir (to answer uber) Given a meter and a few hard punches they win with EASE!!! Bison especially,You can’t HARDLEY attack him after ANYTHING!!!
That name CAPCOM FIGHTING JAM should have stuck,Because I can see what they did,Basically they took them characters from the other games (MADE THEM THE SAME) and jammed them up on a slower engine!! it’s even slower that ST for the SF characters!! STILL FUN.

As I mentioned before somewhere in this thread, CFE import has NOT come out yet. Only the american version is available right now. I have an IMPORT PS2…which means I cannot buy it yet. I bought an import PS2 because I like shooters…they almost never come out in the US and if they do it takes like 6 months…the same with most fighters.
For example, I had Tekken 4, GGXX, GGXX Reload and GGX Isuka long before most of you got the game because the import usually come out over there 1st. In the case of CFE, Capcom released the US version 1st…the import comes out December 2nd. I should have it soon after that.
