Switch lite user. I don’t have the regular Switch so hard to give comparisons. Battery life is pretty sweet, I can play up to 4 h before needing the charger. So far I got close to 1k hours played and no joycon drift. A plus if you play fighting games is that Lite gets a proper Dpad instead of the 4 buttons of doom. I don’t miss not hooking it to TV but the downside would be I don’t think you can plug other controllers like gamecube or pro or arcade sticks if you are that hardcore. If you can get it at the original price and not some rip off I would def recommend it. It is more portable than the reg Switch too.
Regarding resolution on some games. Hmm idk I don’t have PS4 to bitch about lack of 60 fps on some games. I have played Doom 2016 and looks fine imo. Other games like DBFZ run smoothly as well
My boy from work is in a bind, so he’s starting to unload his cargo. Wants to sell me his sealed Pokémon switch lite for $180.
the gray one with the designs from Sword/Shield? That would have been the one I copped if I didn’t get a 2nd gen Switch last year for Christmas. If it’s still sealed, tf you waiting on?? Buy that shit.
Take with dump truck of salt but a leaker who was correct about the March Mini-Direct just mentioned that Nintendo will have another Direct this month. They didn’t say exactly when, just be on the look out for the announcement.
I mean they have to have something, once Origami King drops, they literally have nothing else in the pipeline for the year. Wouldn’t be surprised if they were waiting on the dates for Series X and PS5 to drop first so they can plan their schedule for the end of the year around those.
That’s my thinking too. We still have next to no info or absolutely no info about NMH3, Bayo 3, MP4 and Bravely Default II. Plus there’s still the next Pokémon Expansion Pass release, a rough window of when the next Smash character will be dropping, the all but confirmed 3D Mario anniversary collection and who knows what else.
I get covid May have fucked with a lot of this but holiday season is where Nintendo makes most their money. Reggie and Iwata-San said as such several times throughout their tenures. They can’t gamble on losing that much revenue.
It’s gamestop but they got some sales atm. I’m gonna finally grab SMM2.
If the direct rumor is true any guesses to when would it be? Im scratching for new exclusive announcements (please MK9 or Mario Sunshine/64)
I played Pokémon Shield for a few hours last night. Didn’t particularly do much. Got to the first Wild Area, did some trading with a friend to get the other Galar Starters (I started with Sobble) and then went to bed.
I’m compiling a list of pros and cons of the game as I go through it. I’m going into this with as Completely open mind as possible so I can judge it fairly. It may be a while til I post my list, and even then, most people likely won’t care. But what little I’ve played so far and what little I’ve wrote down regarding the game so far I can honestly say I’m enjoying it.
I was going to bring my Switch in to work today but I decided against it. I already get super anxious when I bring my iPad in so I can read comics on breaks/lunch.
After letting my son play my Switch on our way to/from North Carolina in the car, he’s going to be needing his own at some point. I think this Xmas will be the perfect time to get one for him. I’m going to be salty as shit when I have to buy 2 copies of games.
And him playing the Switch often is now the first time I have actually seen a benefit to getting digital games. If I had Mario Kart and Yoshi in digital form, or just one of them, then he could switch the games himself. Instead I have to do it for him cause I don’t trust him to do it. And I couldn’t even let him play Mario Odyssey because I didn’t have it with me it was at home.
All my dad has been doing with his Switch is playing Animal Crossing. He played all day after church. He has Bayonetta 2 but he’s more concerned with getting his island together and paying off his loan to Nook. At this rate, I won’t even need to buy him Switch games for Christmas.
That’s a good point, and a situation I’ll likely run into in a few years.
On the other hand, my friend just lent me Uncharted 4. I asked the same guy to lend me his copy of TLOU Remaster to play through, but he has it digital so I’ll have to find another way to get it once I’m done with the Uncharted series. I’m gonna lend him Sekiro.
I got bored with Uncharted by part 4. It was the only one I didn’t buy (well didn’t buy that part 3 “side game” or play it either) but when I borrowed it from my buddy I got to like chapter 17 or something and was just kind of bored. I didn’t have any drive to keep playing it and didn’t really care how it ended so I never got back to it.
I’m going strong with the series right now. A good chunk into part 3 and loving it. Definitely looking forward to what 4 is going to be like since it was developed for current gen.
Warning you know, 4 takes a bit to get into. It’s first 10-14 chapters are all exposition dumps and world building with very little action. The rest of the game makes those chapters all worth it though. Especially the ending.
That’s cool. I can appreciate the build up.
Ball Man in Pokémon SW/SH is the thing of nightmares
over 20 years later and Abra’s are still a bitch and a half to catch.
Na, once you know the trick, Abras are easy
Round 1 quick ball
irrelevant if you dont have quick balls. It also isnt a 100% success rate.
So you either mean look, put it to sleep or just throw your highest catch rate ball and pray to Arceus that Abra doesn’t break free.
