I find most ARPG’s, especially Western ones to be extremely boring.
I’ve had less and less fun with open world games as time has gone on.
I’ve never played Witcher 1 or 2.
The last one I don’t know if that even matters or not. Care to enlighten a homie, @radiantsilvergun3 I know you’re a huge fan of the series’ games and it’s source material. Do the first two games matter or can I go in blind?
Yea I know. It’s a really big risk for you, but it really is a dense and content filled open world and I think its a really interesting and cool world to boot. It’s the closest I’ve ever gotten to being Vampire Hunter D like legit.
This whole bundle gives me heavy member berries of the RPG Studio Working Designs. They made some amazing SRPG’s in the PSOne ere and always go above and beyond with their releases. They’d include a copious amount of cool shit. They actually ported my favorite SRPG title, Vanguard Bandits.
I haven’t picked it up and I really want to, but I kinda don’t think I would ever play it. It’s too long to play in portable like that, if kinda rather play botw, and I already have all of it on my ps4. On the other hand this is all of it on a physical piece of media, it supports CDPR who are amazing (and don’t need my sheckles but still) and yea comes with cool swag. So i haven’t gotten it yet no, but I am still debating.
You can play Witcher 3 without playing the previous 2 depending how picky you are about details. They do a summation of Witcher 2 for you shortly into the game. You can even use this to do a sort of “Mass Effect Save Carry Over” through a questionair but this can be disabled and set to default. I would just make sure that you hear Letho survives Witcher 2 as it makes for more content. The events of Witcher 1 aren’t too relevant by Witcher 3, you mostly just need to know that Geralt spent time with Triss Merigold and he had Amnesia in Witcher 1 and 2. I think you’ll do fine otherwise. If you have questions you can always ask. Happy to help.
Edit: Didn’t see the Compendium. Forgot it had that. Yea you’re probably more then set bro.
Holy balls on a stick! Witcher 3 on Switch comes with all that? And here I was just stoked to get a physical copy. Maybe I’ll get that with my upcoming check.
if only that were even close to being the norm with physical game releases… sadly, I’m surprised when there’s even 1 “game manual” in a box these days…even that much is extremely rare, and has been since about midway thru the 360/ps3 era.
I realize that all companies are in business to make as much profit as possible (if they have any sense)…but the sad thing is that MOST in various industries have stopped even caring about producing a reasonably good quality product. They come up with ways to scam or mislead, and give the consumer as little as possible while still making a buck…and when someone’s approach to business is like that, I hope whatever it is fails as hard as possible…the shit just really irritates me the more I think about it…e.g.:
Restaurant Owner A: “how can we make our meals and service better? The more they enjoy the experience, the more likely they are to come back as repeat customers…”
Restaurant Owner B: “How can we get more profit while giving the customers less…maybe we shrink the bread just a little bit while keeping the price the same…they probably won’t notice…then we reduce the number of fries we put in the bag…after that’s the new norm—we raise the price 10 cents; they won’t notice that.”
Most companies, especially in the goddamn games industry… have gone the route of Restaurant Owner B…the charlatan scam fucking asshole pieces of shit.
Restaurant owner C: let’s try to service the same amount of guests with fewer cooks. They will still.make deadlines but we’ll save a whopping minimum wage hour per cook
So a Twitter user that goes by Sabi and has been known for very credible leaks is saying that along with New Horizon the other 3 major titles that are being released this year are
XBC Definitive Edition (May-ish)
Mario Kart 9 (All they said was summer)
Some kind of “true to the 64 and GameCube” Paper Mario title for Holiday season. They also mentioned to “expect hype levels to be through the roof” when it’s announced
They said there will obviously be more big releases like Bravely Default II and No More Heroes 3 but the titles I mentioned above along with the Pokémon expansion packs will be their big pushes for 2020
They mentioned that the unnamed Breath of the Wild sequel is taking longer due to Monolith Studios working hard on XBC Definitive Edition and Nintendo not wanting it to overshadow any other major releases. They suspect it’s release date won’t be confirmed until E3 2021.
sheeeitttt, I didn’t have time to check the rest of the sales but I just noticed Blasphemous is on sale for 15 bucks at the moment; 40% off! …this sale lasts until Feb. 9…this is more than likely the next buy for me then.
hahah the total game count for me on Switch is over 60 at this point. The lineup for this system has been FIRE from day 1, man.
I picked up Akane for 99 cents and had enough coins to pay for it soooo I got to keep my $3.89.
I also snagged Code Shifter. Not on sale but a game I’ve really been looking forward to. I’ll try it out after work.
I used up so much fish tourney bait in the fishing tourney in Three Houses but it was worth it to make Flayn happy. Her happiness gives me life. I don’t think I want to see time skip Flayn. You can’t top that level of cute.
Simon, Richter and Squirtle amiibos are on the way. Had yo order Simon from Best Buy because I was gonna shell out $20+ for him when I can get him for less elsewhere. Richter dropped back down to his $15.99 price. I should have got K. Rool when he launched. Thic boy is pricey now.
Bro I am still addicted to Monster Hunter lol haven’t touched my BoW cart yet. My library keeps adding up but I dont think I got enough time to play so many games
I ponied up for a Brook converter PS4 to Switch and it works perfectly. It’ll be great to be able to use my Hitbox and PS sticks with my switch, especially once SamSho drops.
