I think a lot of games i grew up playing were meant to be super anime but technology was limited to the point where i didn’t notice what it was.
For me probably the lack of schoolgirls. They still follow the tropes but the designs are more simple.
I get thats him but you said you understood what he meant then called a show/manga not very Anime when he used the same IP of an example of extreme Anime.
So I’m not really sure you do understand him…
I mean for him dbz might be to far but i understand the concept of what he’s saying and i understand the styles of art he’s not into.
There’s an intensity scale for how anime something is and a spot thats too far for us. Im more lenient than he is.
To make an analogy with music. You got rock n roll as a general category but on the extreme end you get death metal. You can strongly dislike death metal but be ok with the stuff that gets played on regular radio.
This whole discussion is really funny since almost all American animated shows are actually drawn in Japan, China and South Korea.
American studios work on the story boards and outlines but Japanese, Chinese and South Korean studios actually do the frame-by-frame animation.

Thats cool but we obviously understand the distinction because we called it anime at some point instead of just cartoons.
Also it doesn’t matter that x animation is from Japan. Its the style itself that we’re talking about, not where it comes from. Im sure theres some western developed cartoons drawn in the anime style out there somewhere.
Again no disrespect to anime. If you like it thats cool. But with most subjective things like art, some people will be into it and others won’t.
That’s where the disconnect is happening. You guys think of Anime as an art style and genre, we see it as a region of the world from which cartoons come from.

That makes sense.
I have absolutely zero interest in Astral Chain strictly because of the style of the game. Like other than seeing about 15 seconds of a trailer, I have no clue wtf that game is about and have no interest in seeing anything more about it. I could tell immediately it simply is not a game I would like due to the style of it.

Brook is releasing a dock of their own, the Power Bay, it has hdmi out, 2 ports for Gamecube controllers, 2 USB ports and bluetooth.
I’m waiting for my Genki dock, but I’ll definitely keep an eye on this

Just finished Astral Chains final main chapter. That shit was dope the whole way through. I think Astral Chain is the perfect game to recommend to someone as their first Platinum title, it really teaches you how to play, eases the difficulty up over a “long” journey has a really nice training system for you to work on just about any common fight you want as much as you want. The story is fun and and goes all over the place. Lot of good fun. All I have left is a is the Prologue. Excited.
This leaves me with River City Girls to get a finish in, and I can now spend more time with IceBorne.

Too many freaking games! I suppose I should just focus on one or two games at time but there is soooo much awesoness on the Switch.
I think I’m just about done with Final Fantasy Adventure on Collection of Mana. I can see why this was cited as one of the best GB games. Gonna have to consult a guide since I’m currently stuck.
I cleared the first file two files on Astral Chain. It is soooo satisfying to doge at just the right moment and then style on fools. Didn’t know the character I choose was the silent protagonist limited to grunts, but whateves.
